Tips for walking your dog in the rain:
1. Stay calm; they sense our frustrations
2. Get them used to water, such as using a sprinkler, or bathing them
3. Wait till the dog really needs to go
4. Don't let them drink from puddles; there can be chemicals such as antifreeze in the water
5. If it is raining hard, use an umbrella or doggy rain coat

Thank you all who donated to "Animal Investigation and Response." This is an amazing non-profit that follows up on reports and rescues animals that are extrememly abused or neglected. They go out with law enforcement to assist.
Mostly they volunteer their time and may go out on short
notice to rescue groups of furry friends who are in
desparate situations.

Please keep your pets inside during below freezing weather!! Dogs can get hypothermia and frostbite. Also they can pick up chemicals on their paws, so you may want to wipe their paws when they come inside after a walk.
Kitties often snuggle up in a car engine for warmth. You can bang on the hood or honk the horn to warn them to leave before you drive. My former cat Miracle was found in a car engine. She was saved because someone heard her meow.
