These amazing dogs have been in loving foster homes, but now they’re ready to find their forever families! Come meet them this Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 AM - 2 PM and find your perfect match.

One of the best things about adopting a pet from foster care? Their foster families can give you firsthand insight into their personalities, habits, and how they do in a home environment! Many of these pets are housetrained, great with other dogs, and some are even good with cats! Most of the pets we take in are strays, so this is a rare opportunity to learn all about them before adoption.

With chilly temperatures on the way, here are some important winter safety tips to keep your furry friends warm and protected! 🐶🐱

🔔 Be Alert – Keep an eye on your pets for signs of hypothermia, like shivering, weakness, or lethargy.

🌨️ Storm Prep – Stock up on extra pet food, water, and medications in case of bad weather.

🚗 Limit Car Travel – Cold cars can be just as dangerous as hot ones! Only travel with pets when necessary.

🛋 Get Cozy – Provide warm bedding away from drafts. Heated pet beds or extra blankets can help.

🐾 Paw Patrol – Ice, salt, and antifreeze are harmful! Wipe paws after walks and check for cracks or irritation.

🚗 Hiding in the Hood – Cats often seek warmth in car engines. Tap on the hood before starting your car to avoid accidents.

🏠 Stay Indoors – If it’s too cold for you, it’s too cold for them! Bring pets inside and limit outdoor time.

🧥 Sweater Weather – Short-haired and senior pets may need a coat or sweater for extra warmth outside.

Today, 11 of our shelter dogs are headed to rescue partners in Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin on a PINK Happy Tails Transport! This journey brings them one step closer to finding their forever homes. 💕

This transport is extra special because it includes Chili, a dog who has been with us for over a year! ❤️ We are beyond thrilled that she’s finally getting her chance at a fresh start!

A huge THANK YOU to Friends of Rescue Animals for funding these transports, making it possible for us to give these deserving dogs a second chance. We also couldn’t do this without our amazing staff, fosters, and volunteers—your dedication and hard work make all the difference! 🙌
