Homestead Kennels

Homestead Kennels Purebred English Springer Spaniels We have had springers for over 45 years; primarily using them for hunting upland game, water fowl and as family pets.

We have always found springers to be cheerful and affectionate, good with all family members and ever alert to intruders. Our springers have excelled in hunting; obedience; showmanship and agility training, proving themselves to be versatile dogs, good athletes, quick to learn and willing to obey. We have stressed an easy-going temperament in our breeding program, along with conformation, certification of hips, birdieness and a willingness to ‘play’!

Sadie was in heat this month. Demand for many breeders has slowed in the last couple of years, so much so the they have reduced litters each year, as we have . We only have one litter per year and have skipped the last year as well as 2026. Perhaps when we have our waiting list full again, we’ll have another one.
Take care, hope all our pups out there have a wonderful time with their families during the Thanksgiving season and let’s give thanks for our fur babies.
