🔊Shout out to my parents🔊

Spent the day helping out at my parents place. They have been breeding ever since I can remember. This must be where I got my love of fur babies🐾. I can’t thank my parents enough for their love, support and guidance as I’ve had the opportunity to bring Serenity Bullmastiffs into your homes. I will be forever be grateful for all the knowledge & time they have shared. They have been here from day one showing me how to make sure my babies have the best care possible! If you know someone looking for a Golden Retriever I’d highly recommend Oak Grove Goldens. They may not be Bullmastiffs, but they sure are cute!!! And sooo small 🤣😍

The Milburn family has been eagerly awaiting this morning!! They are back from vacation and their beautiful Nema is coming home😍Nema is the sweetest little thing!! The Clampitt family drove all day yesterday from Idaho, stayed at a hotel and met their sweet girl this morning! Their 4 year old already had her name picked out..“Faster Honey Bee” 🐝 🤣. It was the cutest thing hearing him call her Faster😍. They also had a little stuffed animal to rub on Faster’s siblings so she could take their scent with her to new home! What thoughtful parents! Interesting. Good read to keep in mind as your pup grows 🤔

Growth rates in puppies varies greatly depending on their size. It is important to tailor diet and exercise to your puppies specific requirements to ensure ideal skeletal development. Endochondral ossification (the process during which cartilage turns to bone) differs depending on the adult size of your puppy, with growth plates closing (complete ossification has occurred) between 3 months in toy breeds and 24 months in large breeds (see pictures).
There are many factors affecting growth rate and age of maturity, for instance males mature slower than females. There are variations in periods of ‘rapid growth’ ranging from from birth to 11 weeks in small and toy breed dogs to birth to 20 weeks in large breeds (Hawthorne et al 2004) excessive exercise and inadequate nutrition during these periods may result in conformation abnormalities and malformation of bones, which may lead to osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease.
Recommended exercise levels for puppies is 1 minute for every week of their life, twice a day. This should be low impact at a steady pace.
If you are aiming to train to compete for flyball or agility it is recommended that any jump training is avoided until complete ossification has occurred.

I’m asked constantly... “how are the parents temperaments?” This picture sums up my answer...

Took Bentley to vet for her post-whelping appointment to make sure all is well. She’s got a ton of smells around her that she doesn’t recognize, a room she’s never been in, dogs barking in background & a vet she’s not familiar with and this was her reaction when he got down to look at her. We call her our “oversized Golden Retriever”🤣.

Several of our fur babies went traveling this week 🧳✈️ 🚘 Headed to Texas & California! Motherhood is a lot of work and some mommas have an easier go at it. This was only Baileys 2nd litter but we noticed it was difficult for her pushing and recovery took quite a bit. We love these dogs dearly and only want what is best for them. Our top priority is NOT about making money. Having good genetics and making sure everyone is healthy and happy is number one.

We made the decision to have Bailey spayed rather then having her whelp again. She was a champ for the surgery but when we got home was shivering a bit so the kids tied a “cape” around her neck to help her feel like a “superdog and warm up!” Lol. We definitely LOVE her strong Russian lineage so we are keeping one of her pups that will continue it for us in the future. 😍

Now that being said, Bailey has just 1 puppy available that needs a forever home! Otherwise it will be a while until her pup is old enough to pass on her lines 🐶🐶🐶

For Christmas my daughter got a mini nail trimming kit. I came around the corner this morning and found her tenderly filing Baileys nails with her new sparkly pink file. 😍 Bailey was just relaxed laying there loving the attention.

It has been such a pleasure getting to know this family! They started out looking at 7 of their top favorite pups and eventually locked hearts with this little girl! I love meeting good people and knowing they will smother our babies with attention. They kept the puppy purchase as a secret and will show everyone today their new addition😍. It was so wonderful meeting this cute couple! This is their 2nd BullMastiff (we got to meet their other girl & she is such a sweetheart!) If you live in the Kirkland, WA area Nicole is a veterinarian and would definitively be worth seeing! We are sure going to miss you Little Dozer! Can’t wait to heat about your next adventures 🥰🥰🥰

Wondering if a Bullmastiff is the right dog for you?

I agree with everything on this article EXCEPT the drool part. Yes, they can drool a lot, but our BullMastiff’s are “Dry Mouth” & only drool a little when eating or drinking. Prior to breeding we researched what traits we wanted before continuing on their lines and the Dry Mouth was a big factor for us. 😍

Bailey Pups‼️ 4 weeks old

Well, the last video we posted of Baileys pups was of them jumping ship out of the swimming pool we have in the house 🤣. We have been working on getting them a more secure area & just finished setting it up! They were a little unsure at first just huddled in a corner with my daughter, but about 10 min in they started running around like crazy enjoying their new space! 🥰🥰
