We are excited to share some big news from Lineberger Veterinary Hospital!

We've welcomed a fantastic new veterinarian, Dr. Megan Bache, to our practice. With a great passion for pet health, Dr. Bache is here to help ensure your furry friends stay happy and healthy.

Dr. Megan Bache grew up in Michigan and graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She practiced in Missouri until she moved here in 2023 where she has been practicing small animal and exotic pet medicine since. Dr. Megan loves all parts of practicing but especially enjoys ultrasound, nutrition, and exotic pets.

Dr. Megan has two dogs, Gio and Dove, and four cats, Winry, Newt, Chi, and Jack! When she isn't at work, she enjoys hiking with Dove, nerdy hobbies, and changing her hair color. Guess what color you'll see at your next appointment!

Festive favorites like mistletoe, holly, and poinsettias can cause digestive upset—or worse—if curious pets take a bite! 🐶🐱 Keep them out of reach to keep your holidays happy.

🌲 Bonus Tip: The water under your Christmas tree might seem tempting to pets, but it could contain harmful fertilizers or bacteria. Cover it up to avoid any risks!

🖤💙🖤 In Memory of K9 Teo 🖤💙🖤

Join us in honoring the life and service of Retired K9 "Teo". Teo passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29th, with his loving family by his side.

Teo came to the Belmont Police Department in 2020 and was assigned to Officer G. Kimble as a team. During his career, Teo walked alongside our officers day and night, assisted numerous area agencies, and served the Belmont community from K9-demos with kids to being responsible for multiple seizures of narcotics and locating numerous criminals.

Teo was more than just a police dog; he was a cherished member of our law enforcement family. Through countless patrols, searches, and other K9 operations, Teo demonstrated remarkable courage and selflessness, putting his life on the line to keep others safe.

His loss is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working with him, as well as the entire community he served. The memory of K9 Teo will live on in our hearts forever. May he rest in peace, knowing he made the world a safer place.

Thank you for your service K9 Teo. The legacy of service and sacrifice you left behind will never be forgotten.

As the end of 2024 approaches, we wanted to remind you that our hospital will have some closure dates during the holiday season.

- Christmas Eve: Closing at 12:00 pm
- Christmas Day: Closed
- New Year’s Eve: Closing at 12:00 pm
- New Year’s Day: Closed

We will be operating as usual the days after Christmas and New Year’s Day.
