Good morning Divine K-9 clients. We hope everyone is okay following the storms yesterday.

We have power and are open however we have no Internet connectivity. Our software functionality is limited. We can only view our appointments for today. For those who do not book multiple appointments, we will have to make a list and contact you when the Internet connection is restored.

Our Internet provider cannot provide an estimated restore time due to the mass outages.

PSA‼️

We have documented an uptake in distemper cases among wildlife in Gaston County. We want to remind our community how important it is to keep pets up to date on vaccinations‼️

➡️FACTS:

▪️Canine distemper is a serious viral illness impacting the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems.

▪️The virus commonly affects unvaccinated dogs, but can also infect wild animals like raccoons, skunks, and foxes.

▪️The virus is transmitted though airborne droplets released when an infected animal sneezes, coughs, or barks. It can also be spread though urine/feces and other contaminated objects.

▪️Treatment of CD in affected dogs is limited to supportive care, so pro-actively vaccinating pets is the best option to prevent disease!

▪️Always avoid contact with animals with unknown vaccine histories. Properly disinfect animal areas regularly.

We have some availability for small breed, short hair pups needing a bath! Appointment availability is limited and varied for February.

All pets must be current on Rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines.

You can text us at 704-914-7879 to schedule an appointment. We work Monday through Friday by appointment only - one dog at a time to minimize their time away from home.
