This evening we said good bye to our Khaleesi, one half of Queen of Barks’ inspiration. She’d been diagnosed with bone cancer and only given 6 months to live last April. However, she’s not really a rule follower so she kept going for 10 months to keep us on our toes lol. She made it to her 9th birthday on February 3rd. She had one last day to bask in the sun and eat chicken nuggets. She’s pain free now and can run all she wants on the other side of the rainbow bridge. We’ll see you again, brat ❤️🐾🌈

Miss Mia got her a new brother and parents today. Enjoy your new life, baby girl ❤️ (Yes, I suck really bad and didn’t get a picture before she left. Maybe her new mom will send us some lol)

I have one week to place Mia in a home. I’ve been working hard with her since the middle of December. She’s completed her training and needs a home of her own. I am relocating to NC one week from today so she needs a home quickly. She was gotten with the intention to train and “rehome.” The last thing I want to do is postpone my move because she has no where to go. Her last interested person turned her down due to Lyme disease that may prevent her from extremely high impact work or sports. She isn’t symptatic and will only require treatment in the occurrence of a flare up.

- 1 year old
- Intact female
- Unregistered
- Fully vaccinated
- Heart worm negative and on parasite prevention
- Lyme positive but not symptomatic
- Fully basic obedience trained (leash walking, sit, down, stay, place stay, recall, and basic manners)
- Great food drive
- Unlike most huskies, she has a very consistent recall and we’ve done off leash work to make it even better
- Crate trained but can be vocal when it’s close to potty time
- Incredibly sweet and affectionate
- Dog friendly but her play style may be too intense for elderly or very laid back dogs
- Unsure how she’d do with cats but has done well with small dogs and puppies
- Moderately submissive but doesn’t lack confidence
- Very petite and adorable
- Will be rehomed with whatever training equipment she needs, food for transitioning, her training info, her slow feeder bowl, and a copy of her records
- You’ll have lifetime support from me as her trainer

02/10/2023

While we have announced that we are closing, our closing date is moving up. We are now closing on March 1st when my last board and train goes home. Once again, I won’t be taking on anymore grooming or training clients. For anyone inquiring about purchasing some of our equipment, I have sold most of it to a friend who also owns a kennel. Anything left over will be posted when we’ve sorted through everything. Thank you all!

We did it, guys! Mr. Jake got himself a new brother and incredible parents. We spent two hours hanging out yesterday to make sure he’d be a good fit. It’s like it was meant to be. He has his very own spot on their bed already. We’ll miss you, Jakey, but I’m so happy for you. Just look at his smile ❤️🐾🥹

To add onto my mom’s post from a couple days ago, I will not be booking anymore trainings. Everyone that is scheduled will be finishing up just in time for me to move. I cannot thank each and every one of you enough for being with me on this journey. For almost 3 years I’ve had the privilege of working with amazing clients and helping them to have a better relationship with their dogs through training. My training style has evolved so much as I was pushed to learn and adapt to meet the needs of the dogs I was teaching. Thank you for encouraging me to learn and become a better trainer. I’m forever thankful for the people, dogs, and experiences that have shaped me.

When I say that you have lifetime support from me, I mean it. Just because I’m moving doesn’t mean you can’t reach out to me with questions. I’m going to list my personal information down below so you will always be able to contact me. I even have it figured out that we can do video sessions if needed. As always, you have to leave a voicemail to get a call back and I’d prefer you send me a text with your name and what you need. If I can’t follow a trail of messages I won’t remember anything 😂

Personal cell: 304-993-2128
Personal email: [email protected]
Feel free to use my personal Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to message me.

When the time comes that I rebrand myself, I will share my new business contact information as well. Anyone with a Google Photos album will still have access to it. I just plan on changing it over to my new business. The page will remain active, just listed as permanently closed. Eventually we won’t be using the business messenger, email, or phone number anymore. I will probably delete the business Instagram since we hardly used it anyway.

Once again, I can’t thank you guys enough. I still want updates on how you’re doing so send me pictures and videos to show off your hard work. Give your babies kisses for me! ❤️

Guys, we are at the 4 weeks countdown to my big move. I still have Mia and Jake looking for their forever homes. They are both fully trained and young, but old enough to skip all the puppy nonsense. Pretty please share them all over Facebook so we can find families for these incredible babies. Someone has to know someone that would be able to provide them with incredible lives.

02/03/2023

As most of you know, Hannah is moving to North Carolina. I had planned on continuing the business on my own, but life had other plans. Someone very dear to me has been ill and I will need to be accommodating to help my family. It is with a very sad heavy heart that I have decided to close the doors to Queen of Barks. These last 2 years have been amazing taking care of all of your fur babies! I have met some amazing people as well. But I am most grateful to have worked along side of not only my daughter, but one of my best friends. Hannah is the absolute smartest person I know. I have learned so much from her. Not only about dogs, but life in general. I will miss my super sidekick tremendously but wish her nothing but happiness.
As of right now, our closing date will be March 31,2023. Starting Friday March 10 I will be having a going out of business sale. Along with the business items I will be selling, I am also going to do a Pop Up Sale with items from my home. Clothing, home decor, furniture, etc. I will post dates and hours of the sale at a later date.
Thank you all so much for the love and support you have given us.

Jake is really looking forward to finding a new family. He’s FULLY TRAINED. Just look at that smile 😍

- Roughly 2 years old
- I’m guessing he’s a Collie/Hound mix
- Neutered male
- Fully vetted
- Fully on and off leash trained
- Crate trained
- Does have a history of resource guarding but I also worked on this during our time training
- His new family will receive all of his training information, recommended structure for the home, and lifetime support from me as his trainer
- Has not been a fan of very small children, but does well with kids 8+ years old that know boundaries and how to properly interact with him
- He can be uncertain around new people and new environments but he takes guidance from his handler to overcome it
- He really is so sweet and affectionate. I absolutely love this boy and he was an absolute breeze to train with. He just needs a family that can set clear boundaries with him and provide the structure he needs to feel safe

Hey, guys! I know most of you have seen where I’m moving to NC. I plan on doing Rover while I get settled and established down there. I need some reviews for my profile and would love for some of my amazing clients to write a little something about your experience boarding or training with me. You can message or text me your email address so you’ll get an invite to leave the review. If you trained with me, I should have your email on file but I just want your permission to use it. Thanks so much! ❤️🐾

Big news! I’m engaged! My boyfriend of 6 years proposed this past weekend and I’m so excited for this new chapter of my life. This new chapter also includes me moving to Clayton, North Carolina. My fiancé got a job working for a pharmaceutical company and I plan on joining him in February.

What does this mean for Queen of Barks? My mom, Hope, will continue to offer boarding services for as long as she wants. She’ll just be doing all the care and scheduling by herself. Unfortunately, there will no longer be grooming or training offered after February 2023.

I will be continuing to train until I leave. I won’t leave any of my current clients hanging and will still be offering discounted sessions for the remainder of my time here. I will always be available for my training clients and am willing to offer virtual sessions as needed. I’m even willing to schedule single sessions when I’m in town visiting.

I will not be taking any new grooming clients going forward. I am, however, willing to squeeze in grooms for existing clients if my schedule allows it.

Words cannot describe how thankful I am for each one of you and your furry babies. The past 2 years have been incredible and I’ve learned so much through working with you all. Your babies will all have a very special place in my heart. I’ll always be just a message away. ❤️🐾
