Christmas is TWOish WEEKS AWAY!!
Many of us are preparing to head out of town. Here are some tips that may help.
Are you boarding your dog for the first time?
-Many boarding facilities offer day-play, as well. Before you leave your pup overnight, consider calling to schedule a day or 2 of play. Your dog will be happy to be familiar with the sounds and smells before they stay.
Are you taking a road trip with your dog?
-It can be helpful (and safe) to have a set place for your dog in the car. In our home, we leave a seat open and lay our dog's favorite blanket in that spot. If your dog is wiggly, check out your local pet store for doggy seatbelts!
Are you bringing your dog along and staying overnight?
-Depending on your dog's personality and age, it may be helpful to bring your dog's bed, blankets, and crate along. This can create a sense of "home" for your pet and easy any anxiety they may be feeling.
