PSA: if you normally leave a radio or television on for your pets while you are away, today is the day to turn them off between 2:20 and 2:50. Today is the day for the nationwide emergency alert test. Many pets are sound sensitive and can really act out of you are not home and they get scared.
Nail triming at home, Part 3 of 4:
Unedited, sometimes blurry. Here's a nail trim in real life.
Pro tip: Position the clippers against the nail where you want to cut. Then exert just a little sideways pressure against the nail with the open clippers. This will help secure your chosen cut point before you actually close down on the nail. Just a degree of added security to help keep the tool from sliding on the nail if your dog kicks his foot unexpectedly.
Part 4 will show how we hold them still and how we handle a dog that really doesn't like it.
*** Having a little fun at work today. No dogs were harmed in the making of this prank.
Pulled a prank on Dr Weber today. Couldn't help ourselves. Gotta have a sense of humor, right? Well, it almost backfired on us and we almost needed a doctor for HER! Full story in the comments.
Big or small, we groom them all! Finnegan was too big for the bathtub, so he had to have a shower. He did great! And yes, he got his behind washed even though it worried him at first. (not on video, he said that was private! His exact words were, "leave me some dignity, please!" Lol) What a gentleman!
