Afternoon Outside ☀️

How we like to spend our mornings 🥰🐶

I love seeing these happy, bouncy pups! 🐶

🐾🩷Maggie May is Learning STAY! 🩷🐾 Tips for teaching Stay: Set your dog up for success. What I mean by this is, if your dog doesn’t stay after two steps back, don’t try 2 steps again. Go back 1 step then go to your dog to reward her. Continue to increase the distance only when your dog reliably stays at the distance you’ve been at. NEVER call your dog to you from a stay and then proceed to give them a reward if they do not have a solid and reliable stay. This is actually rewarding the recall not the Stay and encourages your dog to break the stay. As you can see in Maggie’s training video, I go back to her with treats before increasing the distance and release her with “Ok” and then the treats stop. Keep training sessions 5-15 minutes a couple times a day and end on a positive note when your dog is doing her best! 😊
