Black Leather 17” seat Wide, Kincaid dressage saddle for Sale. Purchased New with tags in 2018. New condition. Absolutely no blemishes. Rode in once. Didn’t fit horse. Tack hoarder couldn’t part with until now. Kept covered and conditioned Bi yearly. No Leathers, or Stirrups. $500 or Best offer. All funds go towards the continuation of helping horses in need.

Horse business never ends.

I had a dire reach out today for a rehome assistance, in the Upstate to central NY area.

Appears to be a domestic/ personal family issues with signs of menacing behavior towards safety and well being of horses on site. Victim would like to rehome them due to this.

They are companion to lite riding only. With some maintence needs. They will come with blankets and fly masks boots and sheets etc.

If you are interested in more information please contact me and I will place you in contact with appropriate people.

Due to safety concerns for victim etc, no pictures will be provided in this post.

Happy Leap Year! That means tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! I don't want to be all presumptuous, but just in case you were wondering what on earth to get me, I'll give you a few Ideas!

For Several years now I have done a host of different "Springtime" Or Birthday Fundraisers. I have done 1 previous raffle with the firepit, and it went great. I've done Facebook Birthday Fundraisers.
In 2022, the funds raised for the firepit, Went to 5 different Rescues. 4 of them here in NY, and 1 in PA. Those funds were sent based on Pleas to help with special funding to pull horses from the slaughter lines, or to help with special medical cases.
This year I have opted to help my favorite Rescue, "Rescue A Horse" I have worked closely with them for a number of years now, I believe in their philosophies, and their mission.
Please help me, help them continue to do the great work they do!
For My Birthday, please consider donating either through the raffle, a purchase or even donations in general. All donations go directly back to Rescue A Horse and are tax deductible upon request!

There are multiple horses currently in foster placement and or under rehabilitative measures, receiving care through the efforts of these rescues. A lot of the time, care and funds are required for the daily needs. There are even more horses in need of safety net, that many rescues are forced to say no to, due to lack of funds, Leaving them at further risk. We are all too often "out of own pocket" when saving and assisting. We would appreciate your gracious support. All donations are tax deductible.

It’s time for a Fundraiser!
Big Hoof Horse Rescue and Sanctuary in collaboration with Rescue A Horse Inc. are putting together springtime fundraiser.

This year with the assistance and kind generous donation of workmanship, we are working with Built Strong CNC, to supply our fundraiser product. 4 different styles of a planter hanger. These hangers are 14 ga. Cnc Plasma cut, welded by hand, cleaned and primed then powdercoated for a durable outdoor finish.

The predetermined choices are the following styles; in recognition of our love and dedication to all animals, you may choose, Horse, Dog, Cat or Deer.

These planter hangers retail @ $60 a piece and sell out regularly. All made here in the USA by small business owner.

We are offering two different options this year.
One option is to enter via a random draw raffle, or to submit direct donation/purchase for those who would rather not wait.

To purchase directly, a donation of $45 plus shipping cost if not hand delivered is required to order.

To enter the random drawing, a donation of $10 plus shipping cost if not hand delivered, your name will be added to the drawing. Please private message either request, after payment was submitted either PayPal or Venmo.
At time of drawing you will be able to choose your selected design. 4 Winners will be chosen per 100 entries.

All donations are tax deductible as requested.
Donations to be made via PayPal, or cash in person.

Be sure to send a message through the pay service selected with all identifying information, such as name, address, email, phone number and design choice.

I wasn’t even looking, but an opportunity found me and the herd. With the rising costs of fuel our little quaint home in Groveland with Renee and Mark at their farm, was moved much closer to home. We are now located in West Sparta area.
Let me just say, although the decision was a no brainer, my heart hurt to say farewell to ”My first barn” Renee and Mark welcomed us with open arms, and gave me so much liberty, and gave me a wonderful platform to build on. Aside from aging, my herd has remained happy and healthy. I gained 3 wonderful friends whom I will always cherish.
This week has been amazing with all the time I have gained back just from traveling nearly 30 minutes each way and day, often multiple times a day ( Maddy did morning feed and turnout )
I’ve been able to enjoy dinner time, barn time, and even downtime in the evenings after work. Being close enough to actually be able to do my own morning routine.
A huge thanks to my friends at “August Hill” your kindness to me and my herd will never be forgotten. Love 💕 to you all!

Biosecurity is very crucial in the barn. Rescue barns especially. Be sure to quarantine as safely as possible, and sanitize between handling. It is best practice to handle your quarantined horses last, and using separate tools for stall cleaning, grooming, and feeding.

The horses reside in Nassau County, Florida, and Cattaraugus County, New York.

Mirabelle, the newest addition ( feral barn cat) on the other hand is very unimpressed, She is VERY opinionated. But I kinda love her already. I like them salty.

Thanks so much to Alanna and Bobby who came out and visited the farm today, and set up the temporary kitty apartment. Also glad to have made some new friends. I think the ponies and donkeys approved too!!!

Once a week we dump, and scrub and fill. We use a stock tank enhancer to keep algae free. However we have a few hay and grass dunkers.

It was “take your horse to work day” or something like that. Actually it was Nurses week and Nursing home week. Todays theme was western day, and I promised a whole slew of very special residents I’d bring a pony.
Miss Dolly answered that call like a champ. She loaded like a dream, was absolutely so well behaved at the facility and with the residents who were so excited to meet her. She didn’t flinch at walkers, or wheelchairs, or nervous shakey hands.

Atta girl. You are the very best girl❤️🥰🐴
