Now introducing…….Flynn! This adorable and absolutely lovely boy will be soon going in to get neutered and vaccinated and then will be ready to charm you into taking him home! He is the sweetest boy who loves squeaky toys and being near his people. We estimate him to be a year or two old but will know more once he sees the vet.
Flynn would do well with other dogs and we think kids but he hasn’t been tested with kids.
We are accepting applications now but he won’t be available to meet until next week after he has his vet appointment and a few days to recover. Once we review applications we will call potential adopters to schedule a time to meet him.

🩵Sue Ellen’s journey to recovery🩵

We’re off to a great start, thanks to your incredible support! We’ve raised $2365 of our goal so far, but we still have a long way to go to cover her upcoming surgeries and recovery.

🐾 Sue Ellen has an appointment on the 28th for her spay and to recheck her eyes and ears. However, we have noticed GOOD NEWS here at the shelter. Sue Ellen seems to be gaining some mobility back on the left side of her face. This is most likely due to the reduced inflammation in her ears no longer placing pressure on the nerves. Her left eye is still to far gone to be saved, but we are so happy that she is already making progress in her recovery! ❤️‍🩹

🐞 This sweet cuddle bug continues to shower us with love despite everything she’s been through. Let’s keep the momentum going to give her the healthy, happy life she deserves.

Macabee is a dog that lives for his toys! The squeakier the better! At almost 7 years old, this boy is all puppy at heart. He loves to run around the yard with his toys, tossing them in the air and just enjoying life. Macabee loves every person he has met, going on walks and curling up with a cozy blanket. We think he would do fine with cats and other dogs but we would do a meet and greet with any resident dog. This boy is ready to find a match made in heaven.

Meet Smoke!!!!

Do you want the sweetest pup ever who is good with other dogs, LOVES kids, is potty trained (she was in foster care and her foster did great!!) and ready for a furever home?! Then Smoke is the gal for you! Smoke is just about a year old so she has tons of pup energy but she also loves to snuggle!

We are blown away by the incredible donations we received from the drive organized by our friends at Oakwood Veterinary Service in Colona, IL! 🐶🐱 The outpouring of love and support for our shelter animals means the world to us! 💕

🚗❄️💛 Boone Cooper’s Big Adventure! 🚗❄️💛

Our sweet yellow lab, Boone, has officially found his furever home! 🎉 His amazing new pet parents braved the wintry weather and made the trip all the way from the STL area to bring him home. Talk about love and dedication! 🐾 ♥️

Boone couldn’t stop wagging his tail as he headed off on his new journey. We’re so excited for all the belly rubs, long walks, and couch cuddles in his future. 🐕

Thank you to Boone’s new family for opening your hearts to this lovable guy. Boone be good and leave your mom alone while she’s cooking 😉 and enjoy exploring every room of your new home!🏡 Drive safe and enjoy every moment together! 🥰

This sweet girl is looking for a home where she can sit on laps get lots of scratches and pounce on the occasional toy.

🐾 BlackBerry cheese was surrendered to us for not getting along with other cats however she is in one of our community rooms and seems to really enjoy the company of other feline companions!

💜 Her adoption has been sponsored! Now she just needs someone to give her all the love and cuddles that she deserves.

‼️ All of our adult cats are UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and fixed before being adopted so you have nothing more than to go home and enjoy your new furry family member!

Her ear infections are still a significant concern. To prevent ongoing pain and infection, Sue Ellen will likely need surgery to open or even remove her ear canals entirely. These procedures, along with her eye surgery, are crucial for her to have a chance at a healthy, comfortable life.
