A few more awards to announce!

Winners of the Bruce Donnan Hunting Grant - Courtney LaBarbera and Patricia Amanda Weir!!

Volunteer of the year - Amy Riedel Hewson - Amy is an INTEGRAL part of both our horse trials and our races. Amy has been our cross country controller for 12 years. She makes sure that eveyone is safe and accounted for while they're out having fun!

Stirlin Harris Sportsmanship award - Laura Schumacher - Laura brought 12 students to the horse trials, volunteered herself and them, and competed in the Open Novice - all with a smile and encouraging word for everyone else!

Thank you so much to all of our fabulous competitors, landowners, volunteers, spectators, supporters, patrons, and officials for making another great year of competition in the Genesee Valley.

Team placings are as follows:
1st place - Saddle Up Sisters (Courtney LaBarbera, Chloe Celani, Karen Berger, and Kellie Hunt)
2nd Place - Mothersfield (Carol Kozlowski, Karen Kelley, and Alex Carbonaro)
3rd Place - Pangal Team (Julianne Pangal, Emma Witherwax, and Audrey Clarke).

Great news! Chris Green from The Cozy Kitchen will have his food truck at the trials on Saturday AND Sunday.

Chris has delicous breakfast and lunch options, and will be able to take cash or credit card.

The truck will be open both days from 10-2 - please help us keep him coming back by supporting the food truck!

--> Teams of 3 or 4 riders, with 3 scores to count
--> 2 levels must be represented per team
--> No more than 2 Starter riders per team

We're one month away from the GVH Horse trials!
Entries are open.

Once again this year we will be offering the Donald T Holland team challenge and the Bruce Donnan Hunting Grant.

We will also have Area 1 Adult Rider program goodies, and are offering TIP awards.

We've redone our show jumping footing down in the bowl, and are looking forward to having those beautiful classic views of the valley.

A belated Thank You to ALL who made our GVH Horse Trials so amazing last weekend. Congratulations on putting on a great show! Genesee Valley people are the best in the world. Everyone really worked as a team to make it happen.

Congratulations to all who won ribbons and the special prizes especially Erica Hutten for Volunteer Of the Year and Alice Knoll for the Stirlin Harris/Debi Peskor sportsmanship award. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Today was another fun wonderful day in the valley!
All rides went as scheduled, and we had a great day of sport.

We were able to honor a few of our special friends again this year with awards.

Results for the Donald T Holland Memorial Challenge are in the photo. We had FIFTEEN teams!

We also gave out the first Stirlin Harris award for sportsmanship to Alice Knoll.

We were finally able to award the Patricia Rouse trophy for the best Modified score, it went to Hannah Wilford, who came all the way from Michigan.

A big thank you to landowners, volunteers, and competitors for such a fun weekend!

We're excited to once again be offering the Bruce Donnan Hunting Grant for the GVH Horse Trials!

TO ALL COMPETITORS WHO ARE NOT GVH MEMBERS -
In Memory of MFH, Donnan Foxhounds, Bruce Donnan
Who: Non GVH members who finish the GVH Horse Trials on a number
What: 3 caps with the GVH before race meet weekend (October 14, 2023), for capping fee of a large bag of dog food per hunt.

Then what - Chance to be sponsored for a year membership - if capped 3 times and recommended to the Masters.

We're excited to team up with the Genesee Valley Riding and Driving Club to announce the "Triple Challenge- volunteer edition"

Top 3 volunteers (most hours), from all three events (must volunteer for GVRDC spring trials, GVH horse trials, and GVRDC horse trials in August) will get to choose a piece of swag of their choice from both GVH and GVRDC.
