📍Southern Pines CDE "will split the 500 between any training level entries attending their first ADS or USEF driving event. So if we get 5 new drivers they each get $100 refunded on their entry fee. If we get 2 the they each get $250 refunded. We are trying to encourage new drivers to give combined driving a try."

New to Combined Driving? Thinking about entering your first ADS Event? A $500 grant has just been made available to help reduce the entry fees for any first time Training Level competitors.

It is now 2025 and plans are well underway for the 2025 Great Lakes Carriage Classic. Facebook postings will be done weekly with the next few weeks showcasing this year’s officials.

Jen Rogers was also awarded the Sonny Memorial Versatility Award, which is bestowed annually on a member of the GVRDC who has competed their equine in both riding and driving competitions. This year, the board opted to open this award to members who ride and drive in competition, even if they do so with different equines.

Good news!

Jim worked for Frey Carriage for ten years building carriages until August 2023 when Todd Frey passed away and the company closed. 😢

He is excited to announce the opening of Modern Carriage!

Jim is once again building quality carriages and providing service and parts for Frey Carriages.
