Iā€™m super frustrated with the way Facebook handles this ā€œbusinessā€ page. Very different from my personal page. It seems full of ads and random info, having nothing to do with me or my dogs.
šŸ¶ā™„ļøIā€™m sorry. ā™„ļøšŸ¶

We are making plans on whether to breed in the next year or not.
With respect to genetic diversity, we are considering a maiden bitch with a proven sire but will only breed after we have at least six families approved.
*The order of placement will be based on order of approval.*
All recommended AKC Havanese health tests will be completed and passed and the sire and dam will be matched to one of my available sires through a genetic database.
If you are interested, please reach out privately. I am a reputable breeder in western NY, a member of the Western New York Havanese Club, and will provide references.
The breeding will either be in May, for an early August ā€œgo homeā€ time, or end of November breeding for a mid-February ā€œgo homeā€ time.
Pic for attention and to bring light to the reason we need pre-approval before breedingā€¦
This is Frida. She had a wonderful family who decided to wait on getting a puppy due to unexpected circumstances. We will love on her and snuggle her lil butt until we match her again (sheā€™s a hugger šŸ¤—). It breaks my heart that she no longer has someone out there waiting to bring her home! ā™„ļø
So, a list of pre-approved families is super important in making sure that these perfect little balls of love have a family BEFORE their mamas even have them in their womb.

Lil black and white pup has opened her eyes and lil cream looks like that will happen for her today or tomorrow. Theyā€™ll be in that ā€œdrunken sailorā€ stage by the weekend!

More outdoor fun!
This week has been such nice weather and at 7 weeks old, itā€™s perfect timing for the pups to get to run hard and play hard! They sleep SOLID for hours afterward!

We finally have nice weather! At about six weeks old (10 days ago) we started to play outside in their little playground.

Can you see their differences?!
The little boy is a bit lighter and more golden in color. He has a white spot on his head and is more ā€œsolidā€. We call him Golden Boi. šŸ˜Ž
The little girl is a bit darker like a caramel coffee with lots of cream in it! She has a white stripe on her face and is more petite. We call her Simona. šŸŒŗ

Responsible dog ownership means making the decision that's best for your lifestyle šŸ™Œ

03/01/2023

A lot of sleepless nights went into raising that puppy you got from a responsible breeder ā¤ļø

02/24/2023

This is an X-ray of a dogā€™s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? Thatā€™s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dogā€™s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

šŸ¾ Copied from another breeder šŸ¾
(and updated with current prices)

POTENTIAL OWNER: How much is the puppy?

BREEDER: $4,000

POTENTIAL OWNER: What?? It's way too expensive!!

BREEDER: What do you think would be a good price?

POTENTIAL OWNER: No more than $500. You breeders are so over priced.

BREEDER: I am sorry you see it this way, why don't you try it yourself?

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I've never done it!

BREEDER: For FREE I can teach you how to do it, and in addition you will have the knowledge to do it again.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Perfect, thank you!

BREEDER: To start you will need a female(average minimal cost $3,500 and up). Also a male(average minimal cost $3,500 and up) or semen (average $3,000 and up). You will need to show them to their championship to show they meet the breed standard (Minimal $2,000 each with travel & fees). You will need to do genetic & health testing on them, averages about $ 2,000+ per dog. Raise and provide daily care, feeding & grooming for 2 years. (So minimal $150 per month).

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have that much money...

BREEDER: For $ 1,000 you can raise a litter for me and then keep one of the puppies. Obviously, you also have to pay the cost of whelping & care.

POTENTIAL OWNER: I can do that.

BREEDER: OK so I have a female due to whelp in 2 weeks. You will need to be available 24/7 around the clock for at least 9-10 weeks to help with delivery and care. Possibly tube or bottle feed puppies every 2-3 hours if the mom is low on milk the first couple weeks.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Ten weeks?? it's way too much time for me! I have to work.

BREEDER: You will also need the reproductive vet to do xrays($200-$500), possibly progesterone testing($75-$500) & a C-section($2500-$7000) and initial vet care on pups until old enough to be placed. Pups vets exams and two sets of vaccines ($250 and up depending on how many puppies are in the litter). Have on hand a scale, thermometer, latex gloves, sanitizer, absorbent tissues, scissors, hemostats, heating pad, whelping box, blankets, cleaning supplies, appropriate food with supplements for mothers, formula, medications & hand feeding supplies in case of emergency....

POTENTIAL OWNER: But I don't have all these things!

BREEDER: For $1,500 you can buy them.

POTENTIAL OWNER: Ummm .... You know, I think it might be better if I just buy a puppy.

BREEDER: Wise decision.
For us breeders there are no vacations or holidays, while you go to visit with family & friends we are home at our dogs side caring for them. It is a no breaks commitment.

THIS IS THE REALITY

When you choose a professional, you don't only pay for the puppy but also: Tools, knowledge, experience, love, time, sacrifices, etc...
