🚨Medical Alert 🚨
In light of the recent Bird Flu outbreak, Valley Animal Hospital and the AVMA at this time does recommend not feeding your cats any sort of ‘raw diet’. Please see the attached article for more information.

Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus, including barn and feral cats, indoor cats, and big cats in zoos and in the wild (e.g., mountain lions, tigers, leopards, and bobcats).

Keeping your pet active during the colder months can be tricky, but maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for their overall wellness. ​

For our dog patients, we recommend indoor tug-of-war, indoor fetch, and interactive toys. ​

For our cat patients, additional cardboard boxes never hurt – along with laser pointers, birdwatch stations, and interactive toys. ​

It’s Christmas Eve, and we’re feeling festive here at Valley Animal Hospital! This holiday season, we’re proud to partner with the E.L.V.E.S. (Emergency Landing and Veterinary Expert System) to assist Santa’s reindeer if they run into any unexpected trouble along their route.

While our clinic isn’t open for regular emergencies tonight, we’re honored to play a special role in making sure the magic of Christmas goes off without a hitch. Wishing you and your furry family members a safe and joyful holiday! 🎄🦌💚

Dental treats are a great way to reduce the severity of periodontal disease.

We urge our pet parents to look for the VOHC Seal of Acceptance and to avoid hard treats such as synthetic or natural bones.

The display was absolutely breathtaking—each light sparkled like its own little story, making for the perfect festive finale. Grateful for these moments and the wonderful people we get to work with.
