Soft tissue work relaxes and soothes the sore, over worked muscles along the spine (and the rest of the body as well), whether it be from fusion or frequent jumping off the couch or bed.

In the mid back, tight muscles can play a role in interrupting nerve communication to the stomach region. This can show up as REGURGITATION or HICCUPS. These can be caused by compressing this area with restrictive harnesses (or a dog that puts the brakes on while in a harness), jumping down from a somewhat higher surface, or rough play.

Of course, addressing digestive issues is a wise thing to rule out, but, never underestimate the power of relaxing the tight clenching muscles of the mid back to free up nerve flow to the front side of the body! **Abdominal massage is also a huge bonus for this!**

This little Sharpei mix cutie is Pebbles! She deals with a chronic condition called Sharpei Fever and many times has swollen hocks. Her presenting issue this appointment was rear limb pain and limping from an injury.
