$5️⃣ FRIDAY!

$5 Friday for our boy Benjamin! 👏🏻

As you may remember, Benjamin was in an altercation with another dog. He seemingly only had a small puncture wound, but after going to the vet and doing X-rays we learned that his jaw was BROKEN! 😢

Benjamin had extensive surgery at Veterinary Dental Center one week ago. He had a mandibular jaw fracture on the left side, right behind his first molar. The doctors extracted the tooth so there would be room for his bone to grow. Poor Benjamin has two wires in the area to hold the bones together.

In addition to the “main” fracture, Benjamin had two smaller fractures. One was in the back of the jaw near his joint. The other was a cheek bone fracture. The vet said that these smaller fractures usually heal on their own, but Benjamin will have to restrict movement and has to wear a muzzle for at least four weeks.

His surgery totaled $3,997.28 😱.

Benjamin has to go back in two weeks for a recheck, then repeat a CT scan in eight weeks (which will cost over $1,000).

So far we’ve raised $2,341 - SO AMAZING! 👏🏻

That means we have $3,659 to go to hit our goal. We’d love to have Benjamin’s full procedure, follow up and after care costs covered. ❤️

This we are featuring Ali - the blonde tabby who would love to find someone to be a shadow to all day!

Ali is still warming up to the new environment in Petsmart Geneva but everyone can see she is an absolute lover of all of the human affection! She will lean into pets as a gratifying "thank you" each and every time!

This we are featuring Huckleberry the sweet traditional tabby waiting for his furever family at Petsmart Geneva

During cleaning time, Huckleberry is usually the first one out of the crate, and the last one corralled back in. He locates the first thing that can be entertaining and proceeds to play with it to his heart's desire. He is also a master instigator of wrestling sessions with his siblings. This boy loves to play with just about anyone or anything!

French Vanilla came into Petsmart Geneva recently with a group lovingly referred to as the "Ice Cream Kitties." She was found orphaned when brought into SAYv, thankfully with the love of her adopted mother Pralines N Cream she was nurtured into a soft beautiful girl who is ready to find a home of her own!

Currently she is at Petsmart with her adopted siblings Cookie Dough, Pistachio, and Peppermint Bark enjoying ample playtime, cuddly naps, and the occasional snuggle session. She could be yours to snuggle very soon if you apply to adopt today!

One thing we can assuredly guarantee is that we will likely always have a tabby cat to feature at Petsmart Geneva, so we introduce where we will feature a tabby cat that is currently at the storefront!

You may have seen Aniyah's big golden eyes watching the world go by from PetSmart recently, wondering when her furever family will come to take her home. At only a year old, she is a high energy kitten who loves a good wand toy and wrestling match with a similar sized partner. She's getting a bit frustrated with SAYv volunteers for not letting her wrestle with the little kittens at the store...all she wants to do is have some fun and expel some of her energy! She is an absolute sweetheart who will grow beautifully into a loving family home, could it be with you? MEET DOTTY! 😻

This little angel was rescued from a car engine 🚗.

We heard about the situation from a loving foster who went with another person to get this sweetheart out from the engine.

One of Dotty’s paws is burnt but otherwise she is doing really well. ❤️
