The beautiful wild horses roaming behind our house.

It warms our hearts every time we are on the range and Blue and Lady Grace us with a visit. Kirk Muller was pleasantly surprised when he looked through the trees to see the King and her highness the Queen joining him. Framed by a juniper tree he captured a perfect moment on the Fish Springs Range of Nevada.

If you can help, please consider matching our $10.00 donation. Our shelters are full and fosters worn out. Please spay and neuter and for all that is good, don’t breed. Purebreds and crosses alike are in shelters at historic high numbers.

You are probably wondering what this is a picture of. This is a puppy hidden in the brush by her Mom who was abandoned and left to struggle to feed herself and by extension, her puppies. We were originally called about her and what we thought were two puppies. There are six.

I don't know why there are so many massively irresponsible people in this world. A dog is a commitment and not one to be discarded when it's inconvenient. A dog is also a personal responsibility to ensure that the dog is cared for. A dog that ends up in the middle of nowhere having puppies in a den she created from branches and leaves is a dog that has been let down by people.

These are Great Pyrenees mix puppies and we desperately need help with them. The puppies are now at the weaning stage and need foster homes in the middle Tennessee area. Mom is a sweet older girl who is in rough shape (Mom's pic is in the comments). We do not need more puppies and we are drowning in a sea of puppies in need and don't have the foster capacity for everything in need. However, leaving these puppies to die in rural Texas was not something we were willing to allow.

The beautiful mares at Medicine Horse Ranch are all snuggled in for Winter Storm Orville with runs to play in the falling snow and big paddocks to romp in with the snowfall.
After much consideration, we are accepting inquires regarding our Champion mare, Ava De Wiec, due to ongoing health issues I am facing. Ava is open for the 2024 season and is a proven broodmare, taking on the first cycle.

Ava De Wiec’s pedigree is a packed-filled International ME, Brazil, and European Polish (Bandos/Ekstern) champions. with NO crosses to Padron or Al Shaqab horses, making her an incredible opportunity for an amazing outcross broodmare. She is by the all too soon to pass, Jiuliusz De Wiec (Debowiec) out of Ava Luna V (Desperado V-Huckcleberry Bey), making her just a few of Jiuliusz’ offspring available.
Ava is a 7/8 sister to the incredible El Jahez WH, this Year’s 2024 Scottsdale Champion Sr Stallion and 2/x National Brazilian Champion. Owned by

Today is our beloved Aaqib’s birthday and as he often did, his filly stands and watches the house as the Sierras loom in the background. She’s coming 2 and wears a size 70. Good job Ava and Aaqib ❤️ miss you my dear friend. Hope you are munching on all the carrots and peppermint your heart desires❤️

This time of year I remember how lucky we are to have one another.
How I did not know less than 6 weeks after taking this photo Aaqib would pass from cancer of the spleen, that we did not know he even had…❤️🎄🎄 I miss you my friend. May you be ringing with sleigh bells!

The rescue pups of the Ranch. Barney stealing Bingo’s toy (blk and white). Barney is a wonderful rescue from Amy Minifie Waddell rescue and they need homes and fosters! The pandemic pets and pandemic of shortage of vets has made it hard-please adopt.

Ban Zebra Hunting in the USA

Please do not take your dogs to Pet Co, Pet Smart or Doggie Anywhere until this Canine Respirtory disease is mapped and figured out.
It COULD be a viral or other pathogen they might be getting from you so Please Wash your hands/clithes/bedding if you are sick and refrain from cuddling with Fido until well.
We Just Do Not Know but dogs are getting sick that have not been anywhere….that might suggest a pathogen adapting from human to canine. Please be safe.😞💔

Last night, as the moon set behind the Sierras, it was an incredible sight to witness. A large orange Harvest moon with the rugged Sierras in front. Breathtaking. I’ve never seen Northern lights, wish I could the seem amazing!
