My name is Roger Carlson and I am the owner and operator of Howling Hollow Taxidermy, Licensed,Insured (D.N.R. and U.S.F.W.S ),taxidermy studio located in Genoa, Wisconsin. My goal is to provide top quality work at competitive pricing. I freely disclose all my prices for basic mounts but will provide quotes for additional bases or scenes you would like to have added to your mount. I work with cust

omers on an individual basis to help them afford the mount they want and deserve. My top priority is to have every customer walk away satisfied. I am by no means the cheapest around, but our quality and turn around time speak for itself. For the most part I am self taught, but I have also studied under some of the top Taxidermists in the nation. All of the work you see is actual customer mounts not competition mounts. Attention taxidermy friends and craftspeople. I just had a customer bring a skull back in. It turned a yellow color not all over but just in certain high spots. Super strange it's not grease. I was baffled....because our degreasing system is pretty aggressive. After further examination I realized it was over spray from when I used an accelerator to activate superglue on the underside of the nose Bridge. It took awhile before it became apparent. Crazy stuff, easy fix. Just going to run it through the system again and it will be good as new. But learned something cool in the process.

OK 4 more deer to mount, then starting finish work. The last 30 deer will be started, then on to turkeys. Still waiting for bear rugs to come back. I get super excited when all the deer are mounted. It means we are going into the best phase. Thank you for all of your patronage, and your patience. We will be accepting deer into the end of December this year. So please get things here quick as you can. Thanks again and be safe.
