I have not posted much, but this winter has been a tough one! Caring for multiple animals in such unexpected weather by myself has been challenging. With the use of a water trough heater, an accordion hose, ample amounts of straw for bedding and continued determination to push through, we’re surviving the Winter! This year has been challenging to say the least and all of the H & W rescues and I appreciate every prayer, thought, post share and donation!

A lot of farm chores today preparing for Winter! And to whomever called Animal welfare stating our rescues are malnourished, please put your glasses on the next time you drive by. Better yet, stop in and meet them. I work a fulltime job Mon-Fri and drive for both Uber and Lyft before and after my fulltime job. My babies will never go hungry while in my care. That is a promise I WILL always keep! H & W Sanctuary feels so blessed for the many supporters, prayers, thoughts and post shares! Winter is tough as we have to add hay and straw to the already financially consuming list, but these babies will be comfortable. We’re awaiting the arrival of two new beauties to H & W. Stay tuned!

As we’re settling in, the are a few needs coming up: goat neuter, four cats’ rabies shots, building an outdoor run for the cat barn and poultry barn, hoof trimmings 11/26, daily upkeep care and still aiming to pull 1-2 equine from slaughter. The three musketeers are available for adoption: Regan- (Morgan) unaltered, dropped fetlock- no riding (companion only), blind in right eye and takes Previcox firing the cold months. In her 20s Jenny- (mini donkey) unaltered, spunky, skittish, protective of property and will alert. She currently requires sedation for hoof trim. She had a sarcoid removed last year. There’s a small one present as they do grow back. About 6years old Papa- (male, unaltered goat) needs a lady friend, no health issues known, age unknown Must agree to an adoption contract of no meat consumption, resale, taking to auction or slaughter. They must be returned to the rescue if you cannot care for them in the future. All three hang together 24/7. IM or email if interested: [email protected]

Look at all four of these precious babies! They all get along and all love their treats!!! I don't brag on my Georgie enough. He is the sweetest, kindest gentleman!
