🐾 Happy Furry Friend Friday! 🐾

Say hello to Angus, the most adorable 6-month-old Scottish Terrier who stopped by for a toenail trim! 🐶 This little guy quickly stole Andrea's heart, and she couldn't resist sneaking in some extra puppy snuggles. 💕 We absolutely love meeting our new patients and are always thrilled to be a part of their first year of visits. It's our mission to make sure they know we're not such a scary place after all! Watching them grow over the years and being there for them as they age is truly a rewarding journey. We can't wait to see Angus thrive and be there for him every step of the way!

🐾 At CKVC, every day is special, but there's an extra spark of joy when we get to assist with a C-section and welcome new lives into the world. Our exceptional team is dedicated to providing the utmost care to our newborns, ensuring they start their journey with all the love and attention they deserve. Dr. Armstrong recently performed a successful delivery of a litter of precious German Shepherd puppies. Great job by all involved! Also, a big shoutout to our vet assistant, Lucy, for capturing these heartwarming photos as soon as these guys were born. 💕🐶

I also want to add that Mom is doing great! 🐾

🎄Our Christmas tree is starting to fill up with your kind messages, and we couldn't be more grateful! Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. If you haven't added your ornament yet, there's still plenty of time to stop by and add yours. 🐾

We feel incredibly fortunate to have such amazing clients who make our workplace feel like home. 🥰🏠

🐾🐶 Case of the Week: Mighty Moxie

This weeks case is one we’ve been hoping to share for a while! Moxie, a 9-year-old Alaskan Klee Kai, came to us in March with a troubling abscess and lesion on her face. 🩺 Dr. Fuller opted for a CT scan to rule out any potential cancer. Unfortunately, Moxie's condition worsened, with the lesion spreading to both sides of her nose and very close to her eyes. 😮

After several weeks of treatment, with no signs of improvement, a culture and sensitivity test was conducted, revealing a necrotic infection caused by resistant bacteria. This type of infection is serious, as it involves bacteria that causes tissue death (necrosis) and are resistant to standard antibiotics, complicating treatment significantly. As a result, Moxie required multiple rounds of skin debridement over several months, and specialized antibiotics for her lengthy recovery. 💊 🤞

Throughout this challenging journey, Moxie was such a champ, having to wear her cone for an extended period to prevent her from scratching her healing nose. Her dedicated owner deserves a huge round of applause 👏 as well, for diligently managing her medications for months and keeping us updated on Moxie's progress. Last week we were thrilled to learn that Moxie’s nose has healed wonderfully, and she is finally in the clear. 🥰 Although she still has a small scar, her fur has mostly regrown, making her just as adorable as ever. We hope Santa brings something special for Moxie this Christmas—she truly deserves it! Great job Dr. Fuller! 🎄🎅🏻

📸 🐱 November's Pet Selfie of the Month Winner from our app is... Bandit the Cat!

Say hello to Bandit, an 8-year-old mischievous boy with a flair for the dramatic! Bandit has stolen our hearts with his adorable antics and photogenic charm. 🥰 His favorite pastimes include playing with his mom's Christmas ornaments and relaxing in his window hammock, where he can soak up the sun and keep an eye on the neighborhood. Known for his expert "judgmental" look, Bandit loves striking a pose for the camera.

We wanted to invite our clients to help us decorate our Christmas 🎄 tree this year. While you are here for a visit, stop by the front desk and write a heartfelt note ✍ to hang on the tree.
