Hip dysplasia—these two words can strike fear in the heart of every dog owner. And, although this condition can be painful and debilitating, misinformation about its origins and management can make matters much worse for dogs and their owners. Check out our latest blog post where we separate canine hip dysplasia facts from fiction.

As you may have noticed, our area is under a severe heat advisory this weekend 🥵 Please make sure your pets are safe from the heat, humidity, and sun!

☀️ Avoid exercise during the daytime
🌡 Keep pets at home in the air conditioning as much as possible. If they have to ride in the car with you, do not leave them in the car when you are parked!
💧 Fresh, frequently changed water should be available at all times
🐾 Avoid walks on asphalt or other hard surfaces

All pets, but especially brachycephalic or "short nosed" dogs, are extremely susceptible to heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Help us keep your family safe by watching their tongue and gum color closely when outdoors!
