The AVMA proudly joins the World Veterinary Association, HealthforAnimals, and colleagues from around the world in celebrating World Veterinary Day. The 2024 theme is "Veterinarians are essential health workers."

Today's veterinarians are the only doctors educated to protect the health of both animals and people. They work hard to address the health and welfare needs of every species of animal. Veterinarians also play critical roles in environmental protection, research, food safety, and public health. Thank you to all the veterinarians around the world!

October 15 to 21 ,2023 is National Veterinary week it provides animal hospital an opportunity to recognize veterinary technicians hardwork and contributions.  the first celebration in 1993 It Takes Pl
the third week of October of each year. We value veterinary technicians every day of the year and thank them for all they do . Delmarva animal emergency center will be spot lighting out staff during this week.
