Birdie is super sweet, friendly, and playful! She's been here the longest and hopes someone will notice her and find her a home for 2025!
Meet Whisper! Upon arrival, she was very scared. Cowering in the corner and growling at everyone. After some bribery with treats and lots of love, she realized we aren't scary afterall! Whisper is very thin, only weighing 25 lbs. She has a voracious appetite, so her body condition is just due to not being fed. So sad!! We found out that she is super smart! She knows sit, shake, other paw, lay down and every now and then, she smiles. Hopefully, someone will be interested in adopting her. She has met a puppy here, and she loved the puppy! She has not been cat tested yet. She will need a home where she can continue to gain confidence. Someone who has time to work with her. She appears to be pretty young... maybe 8-10 months old. We aren't sure what she's mixed with, maybe Aussie and a Collie? She has a long nose and very wavy hair. Her coat is beautiful! If you would like to meet her, just stop by! We are open for viewing from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., no appointment necessary!

After spending a few months at the animal shelter, Goober finally went into foster care with the Scott County Humane Society - "For Pets' Sake"! We have watched him grow up and it seems strange not seeing him in that first kennel every morning! We know he's living his best life now! No more being alone for several hours at a time. We encourage people to foster all the time... even if it's just 1 dog every now and then! Please reach out to the Humane Society and learn about fostering. Our girls are feeling much better today!💞 They've been eating well, they had a much needed bath and their nails trimmed. Plus, they've been getting lots of lovins! 🤗 These girls are so sweet! Their story will be on Lex18 later today!
Luke has been looking for his forever home since November! We have all fell in love with him! ❤️ He is 6 yrs old, loves to play fetch, in good health, active, obedient, housebroken, and gets along well with other dogs. But, he gets looked over all the time!
