7th Cavalry

The 7th Cavalry invites you to join the to ‘Ride into History’ with them to reenact moments in history! Revisit the days of the battles of the Civil War, Indian Wars and even the camp life of a typical 19th century community. The 7th prides itself on excellent horsemen, fine horses, exciting battles and comradely at camp at the end of the day. Men, women and families are welcome to join and ride with us. You can choose to ride with the soldiers or ride as civilians….. and ladies, try your hand at side saddle riding! Headquartered in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio region, the 7th Cavalry performs as the 7th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry coE Company, 7th US Cavalry Company E and as the Morgan Raiders. They primarily attend cavalry reenactments, living history and other related events in Ohio and Kentucky, while occasionally visiting other historical sites such as Gettysburg, PA, the great battlefields of Virginia, Old West Towns and the Little Big Horn valley in Montana! Enjoy the experience of living in the 19th century:
-Wear the uniforms and clothing.
-Ladies – Show off your finely tailored period dresses while shopping at the Sutlers or you’re your work dresses while enjoying camp activities.
-Carry authentic reproductions of weapons and other equipment.
-Learn the history of our great nation.
-Show your horsemanship skills off to large crowds!
-7th Cavalry has many resources for clothing, tack and equipment to help new recruits get started economically. RIDE WITH US and experience the world on horseback as you have never done before.
