🎉 MAGNOLIA was adopted several weeks ago and has her parents wrapped around her little paws 🐾 The second 📷 shows her with one of her favorite toys. 😹 Here's her update:
"Update on Magnolia: she is coming along fine and loves to play. I bought her a tunnel game that has 3 different balls you swap out for variety. She figured out what paw she needed to propel the ball left or right. She loves the pink ping pong ball. I roll it to her, she rolls it back and she climbs on Mary’s back when she is using the computer. Going to move a fountain to the room to get her to take more water in."
We LOVE when families act like detectives and figure out what their kitty likes, wants and needs! 💕 sweet MAGNOLIA and THANKS to her family for adopting an All 4 Paws Animal Rescue kitty from Purr & Pour Cat Café 🐾💕😻

🎉 Bonded Mother & Daughter, MAUDE & LUCY (previously Mona & Miracle) were adopted into a family that is giving them the LOVE and PATIENCE they deserve. There have been some adjustment hiccups (transitions can be hard for sensitive kitties) but their parents understand that we all progress at our own pace. We're getting CATmazing updates are here are two:
"They get more fun all the time! Lucy is now bigger and longer and the favorite toy right now is a short-stringed wand toy. Maude is very ponderous and does a lot of thinking." 😹

"Three observations about toys/play.
1 - Suede strings in a bundle -- at the end of a wand or a wand's string -- are impossible for the cat teeth or claws to hold on to ... they slide right through. Keeps the toy moving, for more chasing. (Contrast this with nylon strings where the first light touch of a claw and it's got a solid capture.)

2 - I see this fun pattern where Maude has the suede strings in her teeth or claws, and I have the string up and taut, and Lucy waits ... up close, low and spring-loaded, knowing that when it lets loose, the toy will launch way up high when it lets loose. Lucy instantly pops up way high with that four-legged spring leap.

3 - Maude has just started engaging more vigorously in play with toys. Previously, she would immediately defer to the kitten to go after the toy, hoping to find a situation where she could get me alone with a toy while the kitten Lucy was otherwise occupied. Now, she seems more eager to jump right in, compete, not defer."

update for MARLENA. What a difference a patient ❤️ heart makes for a shy kitty!
"Just sharing an update that you can post about Marlena.
- Totally tame and allows me to pet her from ears to tail!
- She now plays at night with toys and loves tasty treats.
- The shy cat who hid is now an outgoing friendly warm cat!

CLOSED 1/23 😿 AnnaLee (available for adoption) is one of the smartest cats in the room and if she says the roads and sidewalks aren't safe, we believe her. We're sorry we're closed because that's one more DAY cats like AnnaLee don't have a FURever 🏡. I opened Purr & Pour Cat Café to get cats into LOVING homes. When adoptions are slow or we're closed, it breaks my 💔. Help us help 🐱 🐱 when we're open again. MEOWmaste and stay safe. Patricia

Be Safe & Stay Warm

MT. OLIVE CHURCH EXPANDS WARMING SHELTER HOURS
Mt Olive Church, located on the corner of Duke and Wood Streets in Georgetown, is opening its doors as a warming shelter from 4 pm to 7 pm today.
They will provide the service during overnight hours starting Tuesday.
They have hot food , coffee hot tea.
They are located at 1043 Duke Street.

🎉 ROOSTER (previously Owen) didn't just catch a big fish (2nd 📷), he caught a FURever family and a new BEST friend, TUNA. Here's his update:
"Hi hi Owen is now Rooster :) he’s doing great!! He has a big sister named Tuna (I adopted her from All4Paws in March 2020) and they are obsessed with each other. They play all the time and are such happy kitties. Their new thing is to hide from each other in my shower curtain and scare each other by popping out." 😹😹😹

- Sylvie 🎉Our 2-year-old medium haired Central Scrutinizer of the 😺 lounge. SYLVIE'S responsibilities are to enforce all of the laws that have not been passed yet, and to remind the other 😺😺 s of the punishments that may be carried out for these basic everyday activities. As such, SYLVIE would do best as a solo 😺, as she seems to have a hard time maintaining friendships, in a 🏡 with people who don't mind extra judgement. SYLVIE wants you to remember: the white zone is for loading and unloading only, so if you don't have to load or unload, then come meet our lil' Scrutinizer SYLVIE and our other adoptable All 4 Paws Animal Rescue 😺😺s at Purr and Pour Cat Cafe!
