We are so exited to announce the addition of a new veterinarian on The Divide!
Dr. MacQueen grew up in Santa Clarita, California. From a young age, her passion for animals shaped her desire to become a veterinarian. She completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. 
Following veterinary school, Dr. MacQueen completed a rotating internship on the east coast, practicing in Connecticut, New York and Florida. She then moved to Northern California for further training in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. After falling in love with the Sierra Nevada Foothills, she decided to stay long-term, working in small animal general practice. 
Outside of work, Dr. MacQueen stays busy with yoga, horseback riding, rafting, snowboarding, hiking, and struggling to keep her garden alive. More importantly, she enjoys spending time with her partner, and their ever- expanding menagerie of animals- most of whom she claims just followed her home and refused to leave.

For those of you that have come to know and love Dr. Maggie as much as we have, may or may not know she is expecting her 2nd bundle of joy early next year. The inevitable time has come that her family has decided it is time to spend the remaining months of her pregnancy preparing the arrival of their new precious boy. Dr. Maggie has officially began her leave. We wish her and her family the best and cannot wait to see the new baby and all the joys he will bring. Enjoy this time Dr. Maggie, we certainly don’t want to rush it but also look forward to having you back at the clinic later next year!
