ATTENTION PET OWNERS: If your pet is microchipped, please read!!

Save This Live Microchip Company has abruptly closed its doors. All pet owners who currently have a pet with this type of microchip must take steps to re-register their pet with another company. Our office has used this brand for several years so please check.

If you do not re-register your pet's microchip and your pet is lost, a microchip reader will still be able to find the microchip number on your pet, but sadly, they won't be able to access your contact information.

In order to re-register your pet: follow this link, click on "Register Pet Create An Account" and enter the necessary information. It is free. https://www.freepetchipregistry.com/

Providing mental exercise for your pupils is just as important as physical exercise. Putting low calorie treats in a puzzle toy, or playing scent games with your dog are great ways to provide mental exercises. These toys can be used for dogs, cats, and other pets like birds and pigs!

Halloween can be a fun and exciting time for both kids and pets, but it’s important to take some precautions to ensure everyone stays safe. Keep pets indoors during trick-or-treating hours to prevent them from getting spooked by all the activity and potentially running away. Make sure they have a quiet, safe space to retreat to if they get anxious with all the commotion. Avoid giving pets any Halloween candy, especially chocolate and candies containing xylitol, as these can be toxic to animals. If you’re dressing your pet in a costume, ensure it fits properly and doesn’t restrict their movement, breathing, or hearing. Lastly, be mindful of Halloween decorations; keep lit candles, electrical cords, and small decorations out of reach to prevent accidents or ingestion. By following these simple tips, you can help ensure a safe and enjoyable Halloween for your furry friends.
