September Pet of the Month: Jack Lewis
We can't let the month of September slip by without mentioning our pet of the month, Jack! Jack is 12-years old and his parents, Jerry and Paula, say that his favorite activities include bird watching and spending money 😂 Thank you for stopping by to brighten our day, Jack!

We have some exciting news -- In addition to our normal resort hours on Wednesdays, our hospital will now be open for medical appointments, starting on October 2nd! We are also pleased to introduce Dr. Ashleigh White, who is excited to meet our patients and assist with any medical needs on Wednesdays. We aim to provide continuity of care & convenience to our clients and their pets who require follow-up care, sick visits, refills on medications, updated vaccinations, or wellness appointments in the middle of the week. If your pet has come to the hospital for an appointment or surgery, Ana has been taking care of them every step of the way! Here is a little more about Ana:

“Hi I'm Ana! I've been a vet assistant for 5 years and absolutely LOVE working with all my furry patients I get to see everyday! I have two little dogs, Piper and Zelda, who are the best 4-legged kids anyone could ask for! In my free time I love to ride horses, play video games, take walks in the woods with my husband and pups, and go to the gym!”

“Hi, I’m Ilonka! I am a world traveler – I have lived in three countries and have my very own doggie passport. How cool is that!? My preferred language is Hungarian but I can understand some English. My claim to fame is being featured in the Starbucks Central Europe Newsletter! Not only have I conquered heartworms, but I have also served as a therapy dog. The thing I love most about coming to Wolf River is making new friends!”

“Hi, I’m Ricky! I am a 7-year old Boxer mix. One of my favorite things EVER is getting lots of b***y scratches! I am also a fan of watching daytime TV while my mom is at work. Someone has to hold down the fort 😊 My favorite color is red and I love making new friends in daycare at Wolf River!”

If you have called in or stopped by Wolf River recently, you may have already had a chance to meet Autumn! From day one, she has been focused on providing compassionate care for our clients and their pets. We look forward to continuing to share short biographies from all of our staff over the next few months, so you can get to know them better! Here is a little more about Autumn:

“Hi, I'm Autumn! I love video games, anime, and crocheting. I'm in school studying to be a veterinarian because I absolutely adore animals. I have a sweet dog named Alina who means the world to me. When I'm not hitting the books or spending time with Alina, you'll probably find me gaming, enjoying some music, or working on a new crochet project.”

“Hi, I’m Kane! I am a 5-month old Great Dane and I already weigh 70 lbs! My parents, Lauren & Royzell love to play tug-of-war and fetch with me. I have been coming to Wolf River since I was a baby, for my puppy visits, and love getting lots of treats and attention. I also love coming to daycare and getting to play with all of my friends!”

July Staff Highlight: Brianca Bolton, Kennel Tech & Vet Assistant

If your pet has stayed the night with us or comes to daycare, they have probably had a chance to play with Brianca! She loves caring for all of the hospital & resort patients like they are her own pets. Here is a little more about Brianca:

“Hey, I’m Brianca! I am studying Animal Science with a concentration in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. Go Vols! I love being around animals and in the future I will be working with them as a small animal veterinarian! I have a dog of my own named Cinnamon who is a very playful and energetic hound mix. Other than animals, some things I enjoy include shopping, hair care, and amusement parks!”
