⭐️ Why You Should Adopt From Us ⭐️
• We promote proper hamster care. This includes making sure our rescues have the appropriate care and living conditions they need to thrive.
• We help educate and advise potential adopters on proper hamster care. This includes providing adopters with the necessary information and resources they need to make sure they have a happy and thriving hamster.
• Each potential adopter is thoroughly vetted with screening questions and mandatory pictures of their setup to ensure our rescues are not going back into similiar homes we previously had rescued them out of.
• We know where each of our rescues go. We keep a list of each new adopter along with which hamster they adopted and where to contact them. We also ask for updates to ensure our rescues are adapting well to their new homes and to check in. We care about our adopters and our rescues! We are here for you during and after the adoption process.
• None of our rescues come directly from backyard breeders or rodent mills. We do not rescue from these people for the simple fact more hamsters will just take their place and the cycle never ends.
• Most of our hamsters however do come from pet store rodent mills and in some cases local backyard breeders. We can assure you we do not pull and rescue these hamsters directly, lining the pockets of wrong unethical people. We rescue hamsters from private owners in neglectful situations where these people most likely got their hamster from some type of pet store chain in general.
• Because our rescues are not ethically bred and most hamsters in general are not ethically bred, we take the time to do a health evaluation on each hamster. While we are not licensed vets, we can sometimes spot potential health problems such as (but not limited to) wet tail, mites, skin conditions, eye conditions, tumors, and so on.
• Our rescues are handled daily. That means we start the taming process while they are with us unlike pet stores who do no taming whatsoever and usually have very frightened unsociable hamsters who in most cases bite with a purpose.
• Our rescues are fed the best possible food on the market ensuring a good healthy diet which we will gladly pass along where/what kind of food to get.
• Peace of mind knowing you are not deliberately supporting backyard breeders and pet store rodent mills.
• We do believe in ethically bred hamsters by the California Hamster Association and Ontario Hamster Club. Anyone not on that list is unfortunately a backyard breeder trying to con you.
• We can easily provide information on the hamster you look to adopt such as age, temperament, personality, how tame or untame they are, potential trauma, where they came from, how we acquired them, and what their favorite chew toys/hideouts/treats are.
• Even after you take your new furry friend home, we are here for you to answer any questions you may have along your hamster ownership journey and advice when needed.
• If for any reason you can no longer take care of your adopted hamster from us, we will gladly take them back and find them their new home. This ensures the safety of each of our rescues for the duration of their lives.
• We take in owner surrenders along with rescuing. Sometimes these hamsters come from great owners with proper care who can no longer care for them. Sometimes these surrenders are in poor living conditions.
• We assist other local rescues or anyone overwhelmed by rescuing by taking some of this work load off of them and bring hamsters into our care that way. We are here to help hamsters entirely, not just for our own gain.
• We take in accidental litters from owners completely overwhelmed and who do not have the adequate space to house an unexpected litter.
• Our mission is to promote proper hamster care and put more hamsters into knowledgeable good loving homes. We hope one day proper hamster care will be a well known thing and have expanded to most hamster owners.
