We are a full service veterinary hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical and preventative care for dogs and cats. The doctors and health care team at Germantown Animal Hospital, working in partnership with our pets’ owners, are deeply committed to ensuring that our patients

enjoy a long and healthy life. Our first focus is on maintenance of pet wellness so that serious disease can be avoided or its effects minimized. We are pet owners too and know that your pets are important members of your family. It is our philosophy that every decision and recommendation we make will be made as if the patient is our own. We will be CLOSED Saturday January 11th due to inclement weather and closing today at noon. All animals currently boarding at the clinic will still be taken care of by staff but we will not have enough staff to be open to the public.

Due to the weather that will be impacting our community and roads tomorrow, our current plan for Friday is to be open until NOON as we will have very little staff that will able to make it to the clinic. There may not be staff here right at 7AM so please call before traveling to us. We are still unsure about Saturday but we will keep our clients updated through our PetDesk app, email, and page. Please call us at 901-754-4940 BEFORE traveling to the clinic Friday or Saturday to be sure we have staff here ready to receive you.

We are so excited to introduce you to our new associate veterinarian, Dr. Syron Oleson! Dr. Oleson graduated in 2007 from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of Grenada, West Indies. After graduating, she came to the Midsouth where she has worked both in full-service practices and in the nonprofit sector. Dr. Oleson loves what she does and is passionate about providing quality medicine and skilled surgery services for not just dogs and cats but also pet pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chickens, etc. In her off time, you can usually catch her at home taking care of her own pet crew which includes horses, most notably a Percheron horse named Zeek, potbellied pigs, chickens, dogs, cats, and an African Grey parrot.

She is excited to join Germantown Animal Hospital, a practice that shares in her commitment to quality care and we are so thrilled to have her join our team of doctors!

Dear Valued Clients,

After almost 48 years as a veterinarian at Germantown Animal Hospital, I will be retiring at the end of business on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Thanks to all of you, as well as my partners and the strong, supportive staff at Germantown Animal Hospital, I have had a very fulfilling and rewarding career.

I would like to express my deep appreciation to you for giving me the wonderful opportunity to provide medical care to your beloved pets. Countless clients have become my friends and I will always be grateful to you.
