We at FHAR are passionate about our country and thankful to our veterans, for all the sacrifices they have made in serving our country! If you didn't know, our Board is made up of veterans, military spouses, and people who work with veterans daily!

In case you missed our Halloween post, we have 14 new kittens up on Petfinder who are ready for their forever homes!

These kittens are from two litters, one that was born in care (all tuxedos save for Tallis), and another litter that was taken from the outdoors. They are about 1-2 weeks apart and have been together for about a month now. They are so used to and love each other! All of these babies love to purr and cuddle - they are total lovebugs!

Our next adoption event isn't until 11/17, so until then, we'll be highlighting some gem cats that you may not have encountered just yet!

(1) Meet Tiger, a sweet boy with velvet fur and a cuddle demeanor!
(2) Meet Atticus, our big boi who loves to weave between your feet when you walk and gives the best RBF we've ever seen. If he doesn't make you laugh, we're not sure anybody will.
(3) Meet Gator, a sweet but shy boy who has worked hard with his foster to come out of his shell. He has a gorgeous black coat and would be a very sweet boy for the person who doesn't wanna push and wants a sweet boy to call their own.
(4) Last but not least, meet Christie. You've seen her highlighted before on our page, and we're not sure why she hasn't been snagged yet! She is a gorgeous girl! She runs a bit shy but, once she knows you, her foster mama says she's a real lovebug!!

Hi All!

We are in need of a volunteer cleaner who is attentive to detail (good at cleaning!) and can reliably come help clean the display cases at the Martinsburg Petsmart on Wednesdays! This takes about 30-45 minutes once a week and really helps us make sure our cats stay happy and healthy! You are encouraged to play with and interact with the cats in the display, so this is a great opportunity if you love cats but a) don't have more space/time/money to adopt, b) want to contribute in a meaningful way to our rescue, and c) love hanging out with and helping out cats!

We are looking for responsible and reliable people. We don't accept volunteers for community service hours. If you or someone you know seems to fit this bill, please tag them in the comments and encourage them to apply - link to our app is below!

We are here trying to "Stuff-a- Truck", come see us and help local rescues! Martinsburg PetSmart in the Commons!

𝙵𝙷𝙰𝚁 has teamed up with the Rotary Club of Shepherdstown for a 𝖲𝖳𝖴𝖥𝖥-𝖠-𝖳𝖱𝖴𝖢𝖪 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 🐾Event!!!🚚💨📦📦

We hope that you will come out this weekend and support local rescues! 𝗕𝗨𝗧 we also want to give a portion of the donations received to animal shelters in communities that were 𝗵𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁 by 𝗁𝗎𝗋𝗋𝗂𝖼𝖺𝗇𝖾𝗌 𝖧𝖾𝗅𝖾𝗇𝖾 and 𝖬𝗂𝗅𝗍𝗈𝗇. 🌪️⛈️

🚛 ~ At each event you can expect a 26-foot box truck to be parked outside, and Rotary volunteers will give shoppers entering the store “wish lists” of the specific kinds of donations being sought. 🫶🏻🐕🐈‍⬛🐈🐾

As you come with donations the volunteers will sort them into the truck for you. The goal is to 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗙𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗖𝗞 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 🚚📦📦📦📦 by the end of the weekend!
