Meet Christie, a beautiful girl who has had a lot of life changes and needs some stability in her life (don't we all!). She was surrendered to FHAR and had a hard time adjusting to this change. Eventually, though, she got to know her foster mom and enjoys pets and playtime (see video below). Christie has a silly side, loves to catch her ball, loves cat toys, will roll around on bed giving you her most coquettish look asking for pets. She can be a bit apprehensive of new things, like new people, but comes around with time and would make a great addition to a family that is willing to be patient with her and help her feel safe again. We tried putting her in our Petsmart display, but that change really stressed her out. So, she is back in foster care, where she is most comfortable.

We need your help! We are drowning in kittens! Kitten Season seems to get worse every year. We currently have five moms with babies of various ages and a pregnant kitty. And multiple messages a day about more kittens and pregnant kitties needing help. Vetting all these kittens, plus the moms, isn't cheap. We need the help of our amazing community. Cute little video for you guys. So I bought an exercise wheel. Mainly for my Bengals but little Raspberry seems to have taken a liking to it. It just arrived last night so I see this as great progress!
Raspberry's surgery is scheduled for Jan 9, thanks to your generosity! I will keep you updated on this special little girl. :).

Jessie is a big boy, but only six months old. For those familiar with The Velveteen Rabbit (children's story) his coat resembles that...super short and soft and a lovely gray. In new situations, he likes to hide under a bed, but if you give him a day, he shows what a sweet, silly, playful boy he is. He loves and seeks out attention. Jessie likes to chat with you too. He is neutered, current on vaccines and available for adoption through FHAR.

Meet ???!! This sweet little girl came into rescue from a feral colony that was becoming overpopulated. Something needed to be done and FHAR stepped up to help! We do not normally work with feral cats and TNR, but these cats and kittens really needed help. This little girl came with two siblings, both smaller than her when they arrived. It was unknown if they would survive the first night - they were severely malnourished, dehydrated, and their mom was not nursing them appropriately as she was also sick herself. The litter lived through the first night and continued to show signs that they had a fighting spirit. Unfortunately, this little girlโs smallest sibling soon began showing signs of Fading Kitten Syndrome (FKS) and, despite all efforts, died. A week or so after, her other sibling had the same fate. Despite us saying โI don't wanna lose you, I don't even wanna say goodbye,โ these babies passed knowing they were loved, safe, and cared for until their last fighting breath.
But let us not forget.. there was a tiny girl still left in this litter, refusing to give up. Despite laying next to her dying siblings and slowly losing them, she never gave up. Day by day passed, it was a constant questionโฆwould she still be alive in the morning? Pain, fear, sadness, hopelessness, and anxiety filled her foster momโs body every time she had to enter the foster room. But this little girl kept pushing through, so we kept fighting along side her. Cookee is a 5 month female. She is currently at Petsmart, and her foster mom says she's the perfect kitten. When Cookee saw her foster mom she tried so hard to get pets through the plexiglass!! She is great with other cats and dogs.
Baby Dali wishes everyone happy Friday and wants to tell you our adoption event is this Sunday 12-3! Dali is two weeks old and now that her eyes are open this little fluff is certainly curious about her world.

Wagner is the last of the composer kittens still waiting to be adopted, and sometimes, the best is saved to last. Wagner is perfect! Outgoing, loves attention, affectionate, very playful, ok with other cats and is interested in/ non-aggressive with dogs. He should do great in any home. He's less than a year old!
