Raya and Remi are enjoying their newfound (pun intended) off leash freedom! They get to run off leash on their farm and in the creek daily! They’ve been doing private lessons with Emily for the last couple of months, and their owners have put in a lot of work with them!
Had an amazing session with Ava the German Shepherd today!
Ava is one big heavy puller and very distracted with her surroundings. For just a young pup SHE IS STRONG! We can’t have her dragging her owners around so we had to teach her a proper leash walk.
Leash walking is so important for a dog to learn because if gives them a job and teaches them how to ignore their surroundings and stay engaged with their handler. It also creates boundaries and establishes a healthy handler and dog relationship. 🐶
Hershey having a BLAST 💥 earning that off leash freedom! There is nothing more rewarding than being able to let your dog off leash and trust they will come back to you. This makes every adventure and game of fetch much more exciting! Hershey is almost 2 weeks into our 3 week board and train. He is staying with our trainer Shane and learning how to be the best behaved boy.

Two Toy Game- creating focus and engagement through play- by Slim Shady aka Shady Shark Doodoodoooooo
Two Toy Game - creating focus and engagement through play….
-with Slim Shady. AKA Shady Shark doodooodoo
This might seem like just a simple video of a nice boy Cheese walking around Tractor Supply with his person…
But it’s so much more than that. This pup has some pretty extreme anxiety. His people are super committed to helping have a more relaxed life. He needs to learn how to relax on his own- without being told what to do through obedient.
He’s a rescue with an unknown past who can now be in the same room with a vacuum and walk in a store.
For a lot of dogs this is an everyday event that’s hardly noteworthy. But for Cheese it’s a huge deal! And he’s taking it all in stride. And his people are pretty pleased to make such a huge difference in his life 🐾🐾
Having fun with your pup anywhere and everywhere! I stress this a lot to my clients, it is fun for us to go and shop.. let’s make it fun for our pets too! 🎉
It is super easy and it has so many benefits. It will create more engagement, focus and it gives your pup something else to do rather than get excited about people or other dogs. For those nervous and worried pups this is a game changer! The quick movements and chasing of the food incites their prey instinct so that they can overcome their worries.
Here you see Shane playing with Finn the golden retriever in tractor supply. Finn is here for our in home 3 week board and train program to learn to focus on his owners and not get overly excited when he sees people or dogs in public. 🐾 In the video he does a lot of direction changes, always rewarding the when Finn focuses, throwing food and calling him back, asking for obedience and of course hard earned pets at the end.
Look out all, we had the tiny but mighty Alexis the husky staying with Shane for 3 weeks! 🐺 Alexis’ humans are longtime husky owners so they are very experienced with this breed. But they were going out of town and thought they could get some help with her loose leash walking, basic commands and coming when called.
Typical of a husky Alexis is very sassy, she loves to talk, throw her toys around and run like the wind 💨!! We worked with her on focus, being calmer and listening to commands. We had tons of fun and she’s super dog friendly so she got to be a great “demo” dog for others that are learning too. 🌟
