💕MEET SARA!!💕

Hello! My name is Sara, I'm so happy to meet you! I'm a mix of many different large breeds, so nobody is committing to calling me one or the other. Whatever I'm mixed with, I came out awfully cute, right?

I'm still a puppy - only about twelve to fourteen weeks old, and I'm already 39 pounds! What does that mean, besides the fact that I'm a big puppy? It means when I'm all grown up, I could be up to 150 pounds!

What that also means is this - I MUST go into a home that has experience with LARGE BREED dogs! No exceptions! My new family will have to be familiar with my nutritional needs, along with the kind of vet care and exercise I'll need to grow into a strong and healthy dog.

Right now, I'm very young, so older children, other dogs, and probably even cats are OK. But in order for those things to still be OK in a year, my new family will have to provide the proper training for me. I'll be a great family member, but only if I'm with the right family.

If you love the large breeds, you've been looking for one, and you have experience, I won't disappoint you. If you have questions, call the shelter. If you're sure I'm the right pet for you, complete and submit an adoption application. Once it's approved, someone will call you to set up a time for us to meet.

I know the right family will come along and give me a perfect home.

This handsome guy was found last night near the corner of Germany and Wolf Roads in East Berlin. He is a neutered male, with NO collar, NO identification, and NO microchip! If this is your dog, or if you know who he belongs to, please call the Adams County SPCA at 717-334-8876.

💕ADOPTION💕

Drum roll please!!! Allie (Mommy) has been with us for 52 days! She came to us back in November with her 9 puppies that were only 4 weeks old. Allie had a severe case of mastitis and was unable to feed her puppies.

Allie recovered nicely and all 9 of her puppies got adopted around Christmas. Today is her day! She will never have to worry about having puppies again! We can't even express how happy we are for Allie and her new family! Congratulations doesn't even feel like the right word!

The staff and volunteers are going to miss you so much but just knowing you will be in a loving home with a warm bed is what makes our job rewarding! Love ya Allie!

💕MEET PAX!!💕

Hi there! My name is Pax! Did you know that Pax means peace? The girls at the shelter thought it was an appropriate name for me, since I needed to find a place of peace and security.

I came in about a month ago, and I was very skinny - unhealthy skinny, like someone was intentionally keeping food away from me. The last picture was taken on the day I came into the shelter.The vet and the staff were worried about me, but decided they would do the best they could to get me back to a healthy weight.

So here I am - almost ten pounds heavier - and a happy boy! I was healthy enough for neuter surgery, and I even got my teeth cleaned! Now I'm looking for a new home.

This time I want to live in a home with people who are going to love me forever, and people who will promise to provide me with nutritious food to eat and good health care so I can stay healthy. In return, I promise to love them unconditionally.

I'm a good boy, and I love everyone - once I get to know you. Because of my past, I feel that I have to be careful who I trust! But if you're kind and loving to me, I'll be kind and loving to you. Deal?

I'm good on a leash, and I love to take walks outside. I know to do my business outside, too, but sometimes I can't hold it all night. I'm working on that. I'm just learning to play with some toys, so maybe my new family will help me with that, too.

I enjoy hanging out with older, respectful kids, and I'd probably like to have another dog in my new home, just to help me out with learning how to be a house dog. I'm not so sure about cats. They look scary when they p**f their backs up and hiss!
