Another snowfall and colder temperatures but Hogie Bear is warm and cozy in his winter blanket! ❄️ Hogues Best Sunday is a registered Standardbred trotter who was saved from the kill pen in the nick of time. He’s the sweetest boy and gives wonderful hugs! 🐴💙

Simon is so happy to be home after being hospitalized for bronchitis. He’s finished his meds and the follow up vet check was good. He’s feeling much better! 🐱❤️

Best friends Lou de Fontaine and Super Tuesday. Both Standardbred trotters. Both retired racehorses who were successful on the track. Both safe in their forever home at The Lily Pond.

We are heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of our beloved cat Toblerone. 💔🌈 He developed a fast growing cancerous tumor that burst. The emergency vet tried to operate but was not successful. We are devastated to lose such a friendly sweet funny mischievous cat who was loved by all. Rest in Peace Toblerone - always in our hearts. 💚🐈‍⬛

Baby it’s cold outside… 4 degrees cold! ❄️ Dolly took a quick turn around the yard then deployed her helicopter ears straight back to the warm house! 🐶⛄️💙

It’s featuring Gibson! He was found outside last summer as an orphan kitten. His rescuers had him vetted but thought better of releasing a lone kitten with winter weather approaching… so he found a home at The Lily Pond! 🐱💚

What a fun day! Dolly and Coco received a visit from our friends Louis and Beverly Martino, who brought holiday toys and treats for all the dogs, cats and horses!! 🎅🏻 Dolly and Coco had so much fun and we are so grateful!! 🐶🎄❤️

It’s been a challenging week! Two of our cats had to be hospitalized: Simon for bronchitis and Wink for an abscess in his ear. Thankfully both are back home and recovering. 🐱❤️‍🩹🐱

Our rambunctious boy Wyatt had a training session with Jared Renzi thanks to his sponsor Tracey Rostron. Jared worked to teach Wyatt healthy boundaries around personal space, which is important for safety. Wyatt’s a quick learner and the session went so well! 🐎💚

Greetings from Trooper, Max and Moon! All three of these handsome seniors were saved from the slaughter pipeline now living their best lives at The Lily Pond. 🐎💚

Good morning from Moon! ☀️🐴🌙 A former lesson horse at a local college, he was injured and sent to auction where a kill buyer purchased him. Thankfully, a local woman witnessed it and bought him from the kill buyer. She rehabilitated him and now he has a forever home here at The Lily Pond! 🐎

Our beautiful #ottb mare Waverly and her bestie Dutch Treat coming over to wish you a happy Wednesday! Dutch is a Thoroughbred-Quarter horse cross and competed in events. Permanent Wave is a registered Thoroughbred who raced the tracks in 2012. 🐎💚🐎

We hosted a tour of the sanctuary yesterday. Thank you to all who came out to meet the animals and support our work! 🐱🐶🐴
