Was permitted to share this precious moment between a father and her daughter. Astrid is a year-old Aussie Doodle in training to become a service dog, as you can see she knew exactly when she needed to use her DPT Skills. (Deep Pressure Therapy). This was such a sweet moment and I'm glad I was able to capture this for them!
Love getting updates from clients: Astrid left our program last Saturday with her owner. She still has a lot of work to do before she can become a service dog, but she is on the right track. It has been almost a week since she left our program, and I have already been able to see the confidence, progress, and team these two have created.
Our newest Board & Train member Astrid is learning some basic obedience to help pave their pathway to becoming a service dog.
Day 1: Introducing the “Look” command, “heel” walking on a loose leash, and “sitting” when stopping.
Working on long distance task work with my client. These two have come a long way!
Does your dog try to rush out the door? We are teaching Storm that she needs to sit and wait to be released before going in and out of doors.
