Because it's all about the horse.

There is no such thing as the “wrong horse”.

Not every horse that comes into your life will be exactly what you want, in fact very few will be, but whether the come temporarily, or stay forever, every horse comes for a reason.

That reason is not always clear. It can feel like all some horses bring is stress, pain and heartache. It can sometimes feel so ‘wrong’ that you can’t see how any good could ever come from it.

But the most valuable lessons come from the ‘wrong’ horses.

When you get up after eating dirt after being thrown for the third time that ride, you’ll find resilience you never knew you had.

When your tired of sitting at the side lines, watching your friends having fun whilst your horse is still chapters behind, you’ll find patience within yourself that you didn’t know was there.

When your sick of spending every ride questioning your ability and second guessing yourself, you’ll dig deep and find the self belief that’s always been hidden inside you.

And when you meet a horse that is so broken, even giving the very best of yourself won’t fix it, you’ll find a selflessness in you to make sure that horse never knows anything but love.

Patience, resilience, determination, selflessness aren’t easy lessons, but we’re better riders for learning them.

You may think you’ve got the “wrong horse”, but you’ve actually got the right horse to teach the hardest lessons.

Learn well.

Super good visual and read!

The hoof is the beginning/end of many myofascial lines. Poor position and orientation of the hoof will affect all the structures of an associated line. The lines are so interconnected that this can mean the hoof can create dysfunction essentially anywhere in the body, however conversely, pathology along these lines can affect posture and therefore change loads on the hoof affecting morphology of the hoof. This is why farriers, vets and physios must work together in a holistic mindset. If the whole chain isn’t considered then interventions can often be futile.

According to our own math, this is the Top 15 headed to the 2020 NFR at Globe Life in Arlington, TX! The WPRA should release their official standings later today, but these should be within a few dollars.
Congratulations to all the ladies who qualified! It's a long year with lots of hard work and sacrifice to get to this point! 🏆🏆🥇🥇

Elastic bands! You see them at barrel races all the time, on saddle horns, on our boots or around our wrists just waiting for when it’s close to our time to run as fast as we can, they hold our feet in our stirrups , when you go this fast, leg lifts and blown stirrups cause our feet to misplace the stirrup ever so briefly and in turn impacts our run as we scramble to reclaim our stirrup.
It’s a race after all.
I looked at them and wish I was using them today, but I’m on a c**t, just seeing the sights, no competition for me.
It’s part of seasoning a horse, it’s months of being a spectator longing to one day need those elastics again.
You see us at races, you know the ones with horses bouncing around wild eyed and well , just being plain old goofy. We see you too on your calm barrel horse mentally preparing for your run with your elastic bands around your horn. We smile at one another both thinking gawd I remember those days.
It’s part of the journey of being a barrel horse trainer.
I said to someone yesterday “ I miss showing up and being a threat to win “ but you know what I miss most?
Those darn rubber bands.
I can’t wait to need them again❤️
