Hello,
Please let me tell you a little about myself. I am a mother of 4 children and soon to be a grandmother of 3 grand-babies. I have been involved with animals all of my life. At age 9, I rescued strays and found homes for them. During the years growing up with my family, we had several dogs and cats. In my twenties, I showed Himalayan cats in the CFA (Cat Fanciers Association) program. I beca
me involved with the 4-H Cat Program in King County in 1987 when my eldest daughter became interested in showing cats, too. (4-H is a youth development program that has a lot to offer youth.) I became the Club Leader of Federal Way Top Cats 4-H Club in 1989 and continued until 1999. I started Dianna's Critter Sitting Service in April of 1989 and serviced the Federal Way, Kent, Auburn, and North East Tacoma area. For 10 years I had the privilege of taking care of a variety of pets. I became close with a lot of my returning clients and so it was with a heavy heart that I closed the business in April of 1999. I was pregnant with my 3rd child and I could not find someone to take it over. My family and I moved out to Key Peninsula in 2003, where I have homeschooled my last 2 children and bred Labradoodles. I stopped breeding the Labradoodles after only two litters as I could not stand to sell the puppies. I always worried about their life after they left my care. In 2010, I became involved with 4-H again because my younger children were drawn to this great program. My youngest daughter and I started the Cat Tales 4-H Club in 2013, and we are so glad we did, as we have built some strong friendships. My passion for animals and my desire to help our youth has lead me to take on my current volunteer position of Kitsap County Cat Project Fair Superintendent. Because of my love for animals, I have decided to open Dianna's Critter Sitting Service here on the Key Peninsula. I service the Key Peninsula, Gig Harbor, Port Orchard, and Belfair Areas. If you have any questions please feel free to call me. 253-884-4182
