Kidding season started on February 4th for us. We have not started milking yet, but will soon.

The chocolate girls started things off with two sets of twins and one set of triplets, 5 boys, 2 girls.

Kaleidoscope surprised us last week with a single doeling.

Bella and CJ made it to thier Spring working gig at Courter Country Farms just in time for Bella to kid with triplets (2 M, 1F).
This is our second year working with this outstanding venue. They are an Event location, an Air BnB and a you pick Flower Farm (amongst other things) that is open to the public a few days a week. The kids born there come back to us very well socialized and very healthy! The dams are milked as they make soap and do some show and tell about milking goats. It’s been a super positive thing for us and our goats!

We currently have two or three does in milk, three doelings and 6 wethers available.

A fun weekend flower visit without the Tulip Festival crowds!

Bonus - two of our goats and their kids (kids born there, girls went a bit ago to get settled in) are in residence at this gorgeous location for the most of this year!

It's Easter weekend, and while we are not holding an egg hunt, we are inviting you out to the farm for an open house. We have 5 new baby goats born this week on the farm. They are so dang cute and already incredibly playful, come give them a warm welcome. We will also have our dahlia tubers for sale, just $5 each. If you visited our farm the past few summers, you will recognize these as the flowers we have grown in our lower field. Fun for the family, fun for the flower lovers. 10am-3pm. No entrance fee.

Darla is a yearling ADGA Nigerian doe. She is due to kid in about two weeks because during the snow and ice storm the end of December I put two young boys in a stall in the barn. She, having wonderful jumping ability jumped right over the stall walls and in the pen.

She will be looking for greener pastures with or without her kids

We currently have several goats available:

4 yearling ADGA registered Nigerian Does.
1 yearling Mini Nubian wether.

3 F1 Mini Nubian doelings, just about ready to wean. Two blue eyed, high percentage Nigerian. All three the result of high drive bucks being where they weren’t supposed to, but excellent milk genetics on both sides.

One soon to be wethered blue eyed B/W buckling, ready to wean.

Also just had a doe/buck set of Mini Nubian twins from excellent lines. Will talk about selling either. The boy is the only one (based on pedigree) I am willing to consider selling as herd sire so far this year. His dam has consistently produced well for me, both in the milk pail and kids. His sire has dramatically improved breed type every time, and so far I also like the udders.

Dogs were having a fit last night, so I stepped out the back door to see why. Heard a little kid bleating. I assumed one of the kids had somehow escaped.

Went out and surprise! Sapphire had kidded! I didn’t think she was due for at least two weeks!

Kidding season has started. Due to Sailor’s overwhelming need to test all fences and find weaknesses in September we have a few not planned.

For example, I was on the fence about breeding Calico this year, and O certainly would not have bred Naomi, a F4 Mini Nubian to a Nigerian buck (how did he even manage that so fast when she is fairly tall?!?).

But cute kids! 5 boys (available as wethers) and 3 girls so far.
