We are holding a series of work days at CRC to beautify our facility. Today was the first work day, and with a crew of around 15 people, we accomplished so much! The pictures tell the story. We repainted the fronts of the barn stalls, the crossties area and gates in the indoor arena, and the decorative fencing along the outside of the facility. The exterior of the indoor arena was power washed and looks brand new! We added flowers to some landscaping outside the barn and weed-wacked and mowed the entire grounds. We worked on exterior drainage issues using specialized equipment and also dragged and groomed the outdoor arena and round pen. We are cleaning our dressage court letters and will set up our full size dressage court in the outdoor arena soon. At the end of the work session, we had a potluck and barbeque lunch. We will continue these efforts in additional all day work sessions throughout the summer using volunteer help (the boarders, their spouses, and others).
