Since we have so many new followers we wanted to share a little bit about us!
Keila Co. is dedicated to my soul dog Keila. I got Keila on a whim at a time I really needed her. She was on her last day at the shelter and when I got there she was about to be pulled for euthanasia.
The shelter workers said she was a bad dog, had behavioral issues, didn’t like anyone and would bite. She was labeled as a level 3.
When they brought her out to the gated area to see me she sat tail tucked in a corner for about 40 minutes before coming up to me and letting me scratch her chin. She immediately rested her head in my hand so I knew I had to take her home.
Keila was scared. She did not like men and she would run from people for the first 6 months but she let me love her and be close to her.
She became the most loyal dog. Never had to train her. She never bit anybody or barked. She was very intuitive towards people emotions and just knew when you needed a cuddle! She was smiley all the time and she loved a good adventure. She was quite literally the perfect dog.
That day I saved her life but at the time she saved me as well. Cheesy as it is! She became my other half!
Unfortunately Keila passed unexpectedly a couple years ago. None of us were prepared and we just didn’t know how to deal with that loss.
Koda only knew of having another dog in his life. Keila was his life! He wasn’t eating, he would sleep in her kennel and was visibly depressed. We weren’t exactly ready for another dog so soon but ended up coming home with Hazel!
(Hazel was also labeled as a level 3 at the shelter.)
Koda and Hazel are best friends! They are inseparable and so in love with each other and we couldn’t have asked for a better addition!

The Winnie collection was inspired by Winnie The Poohs summer adventures!!! Ever since I was a baby my parents dressed me in Winnie the Pooh themes outfits and to this day my family gives me Pooh themed gifts! I thought it would be so fun to bring that to Keila Co! Pairing the set with our Bee & Honey bandana just seems so sweet and summery!
