HEY! DID YOU HEAR?! It’s so bright at SPC now because we have power!!

We got power back late today and we are so happy! The goal is everything will be back up and running 100% with everything by Monday! We have boarding dogs this weekend as normal but will resume daycare on Monday because we don’t want to put the cart before the horse! Just in case the poser company has kinks to work out!

But again, we can not thank our SPC family enough for everyone’s understanding and continued support! We had dozens of you all offering help and helping us stay positive during all this! Leslie and Andrew have worked around the clock keeping us with as much power that generator could muster and with snacks and smiles. Speaking for all of the staff we are grateful for Leslie and Andrew as much as we are grateful for each other and all of “our” fur babies and their parents.

What most of you don’t know is all the staff are in a huge group text and everyday we shared how things were going at work and at our own homes. We offered each other hot showers, cold drinks and charging stations. We shared food and car pooled to save gas and tons of other things. We are all so blessed! Even the employees that still don’t have power, we still feel blessed!

Thank you all again! We couldn’t do what we do without you!

SPC is still standing! But we don’t have power. Which is totally fine! We are making it work for the boarders that are still with us. We have a generator that is running the bare minimum stuff; like fans, drop lights, the refrigerator (for dogs with fresh food), the microwave (for dogs that like warm food), and thankfully we have city water.

That all being said, we really hope all of our SPC “extended family” is doing well and had minimal damage and hopefully have power back! We hope all of our fur baby “nieces and nephews” are comfortable and handling everything as well as possible. You will be receiving text messages from us if you have daycare or boarding scheduled. Service is still spotty for us so please be patient. And please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you need help and we will do everything in our power (pun intended) to take care of your needs!

Hold your fur babies extra tight and give them an extra biscuit from us! 💕🐾
