PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE OVER CAPACITY AT THE MOMENT AND ARE NOT ACCEPTING NEW CATS. We are a rescue and feline sanctuary committed to a no-kill philosophy. As individuals and as a collective organization, we strongly believe that cats are sentient, feeling beings deserving of our respect and kindness. While dedicated to providing a lifetime of health, safety, and happiness to cats living in our sa

nctuary, we also strive to find solutions for at-risk cats we cannot take in due to limited space. We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization, so 100% of all donations go to the cats. We provide these programs:

Long-term care in a safe and fulfilling environment to cats who are unadoptable due to behavioral or health issues

Medical care (spay/neuter, wellness, and critical care) for cats admitted into our programs

Socialization to rebuild feline trust and confidence in people, thereby increasing the chance for adoption

Assistance in urgent, at risk cat situations by providing information, resources, and referrals to other organizations with services complementary to ours

Education on pet abandonment, the importance of spaying/neutering, and creating a healthy and enriching environment for companion cats

Closing out Giving Tuesday: The sad goodbyes.

2024 has been a difficult year for losses of our sanctuary cats. Since April, we have had to say goodbye to 8 more beloved kitties. We do not take the decision to humanely euthanize lightly. We make sure the cats have all of the diagnostics required for us to make the final painful call. These diagnostics include physical exam, bloodwork, X-rays, CT scans, ER visits when necessary, and hospitalization. The diagnoses of these cats have included oral cancer, abdominal cancer (2), bile duct cancer, throat cancer, lymphoma, acute renal failure, and severe anemia. Rest in Peace, angels...if love could have saved you, you would have lived forever. Total cost of diagnostics, hospitalizations and euthanasia services: $14,500.17.

As always, we thank you for your generosity! We could not continue our mission of saving cats & kittens in need without YOU! Can you help? Whether $5 or $500, every donation makes a difference.

Giving Tuesday Medical Case(s): Spay/Neuter/Testing/Vaccinations/Microchip

From April to now, 69 cats and kittens have been spayed or neutered, snap tested for FIV and FeLV, vaccinated, and microchipped. Most of these cats and kittens were friendly and spent time with loving foster families while waiting for their perfect forever home. Many have now found that perfect home, some are still waiting for their happy ever after! Total amount spent getting these sweet cats adoption ready was $9500.

As always, we thank you for your generosity! We could not continue our mission of saving cats & kittens in need without YOU! Can you help? Whether $5 or $500, every donation makes a difference.

Giving Tuesday Medical Case #9: Mr. Binx

Mr. Binx was rescued from a hoarding situation in May of 2023. When he came to his foster home, his right eye had already been removed due to trauma. He also has respiratory distress. He was neutered, snap tested, vaccinated, and microchipped. Later in 2023 and again in 2024, Mr. Binx's enucleated eye socket opened up. He had procedures to close it back up and treatment with antibiotics. Most recently in October 2024, his non healing eye wound was sutured twice and nasal area flushed with antibiotics. He also had a CT scan of the nose and eye area and 6 laser treatments for wound healing. After spending several weeks in an e-collar, we are hopeful that Mr. Binx's eye socket is closed and healed once and for all. He still gets medication and steamy moisture for his breathing. We are so thankful for his dedicated foster, Sue, for continuing to fight for and care for Mr. Binx. Total cost for Mr. Binx's year plus long treatments to heal his enucleated eye socket: $4537.13.

As always, we thank you for your generosity! We could not continue our mission of saving cats & kittens in need without YOU! Can you help? Whether $5 or $500, every donation makes a difference.

Giving Tuesday Medical Case #8: Midnight

Our volunteers noticed Midnight experiencing instability and stumbling in September. We took him right to the vet for an exam and bloodwork. It was discovered that Midnight had become abruptly blind. His blood pressure was found to be elevated, which can cause retinal detachment and blindness. We took him to an eye specialist who confirmed these findings. We got Midnight started on medication to control his blood pressure right away. The eye specialist said there was a possibility he could regain some or all of his vision with treatment. So far Midnight has not regained his vision, but he is resilient and after adjusting to his new normal, he gets around just fine in the sanctuary that has been his home for 10+ years.

As always, we thank you for your generosity! We could not continue our mission of saving cats & kittens in need without YOU! Can you help? Whether $5 or $500, every donation makes a difference.

Giving Tuesday Medical Case #6 & 7: Apollo and Penny's Dentals

Apollo was taken to the vet on 10/24/24 for a wellness exam due to weight loss. He was found to have many abscessed teeth and infected roots from previously broken or lost teeth. Apollo had 11 teeth extracted and 2 gum flaps. He is all healed up from his surgery now and enjoys his wet food so much more with all of those painful teeth removed! Total cost of Apollo's dental was $2104.86.

Towards the end of October, we noticed that Penny was having some difficulty eating her food and treats. On 10/30/24, Penny had a dental requiring extraction of 10 badly infected teeth with 3 gum flaps. She also had senior bloodwork done as well as her ears flushed and treated for yeast infection. Total cost for Penny's vet care was $1983.42.

As always, we thank you for your generosity! We could not continue our mission of saving cats & kittens in need without YOU! Can you help? Whether $5 or $500, every donation makes a difference.

Giving Tuesday Medical Case #5: May

May was taken to the vet starting at the end of August due to concerns about weight loss. Overall, May was healthy. Her bloodwork showed that the level of calcium in her blood was elevated. May is getting monthly steroid shots that seem to be working to slowly correct her calcium levels. Total costs of May's treatments so far: $660.54.
