We may not do a lot with our horses, but I love the gentle ways they have woven into our life. Our son Robin grew up playing in this field, running barefoot through the neighborhood down the ditches, riding the ponies, and adventuring with his friends. It was tender for me to watch him and his beautiful bride on their wedding day, taking a quiet moment to greet the horses.
🤍
There is something so peaceful about horses grazing in the background, their soft nickers of greeting when offered a carrot or apple, their eager, velvety muzzles pushing in to your hand, manes tossing, ears flicking toward you, eyes half closing in pleasure when you find that perfect spot on a fuzzy neck to scratch, then back too heads down in the green grass 🤍
