offers English & Western Horseback Riding Lessons to all ages at a large horse boarding facility in the heart of Gilbert. Program manager, Danya Thornton, also rescues horses and offers free lessons to all athletes on her Special Olympics Equestrian Team.

Who is ready for our barrel racing season!?

Our barrel racing team is gearing up for the new season of East Valley Saddle Club’s 2024/25 races at JVA Ranch beginning Sept 8th, followed by 9/22, 10/6 & 10/20. The whole season is scheduled for ten events from September-May & is open to all of our students - you can compete at just one or go to all of the events. Ask your instructor for more information! 🤠

We are so thankful EVSC offers not only five traditional full speed divisions:
3-7yo
8-10yo
11-14yo
15-24yo
& OPEN

BUT also offers five divisions just for those new to the sport!
Beginners (walk/trot only)
THREE! Novice divisions (slow lope max)
10 & under Youth
11-17 Youth
18+ Adult Novice/Green Horse
AND of course an adorable Leadline division for our youngest little cowboys and cowgirls.

All events are open to the public, and it’s free to come out and watch/cheer for the team! Location is JVA Ranch on ValVista & Hunt Highway and races are all on Sundays from 10am to usually 3-4pm

Rescue Name Raffle Results! Our new boy is now Duke & our new girl is now Ginger Thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to our winners! The two of them are spending August in training at our other facility in Chandler Heights.

Fun day with our barrel team! Lots of ribbons and some trophies (see me girls - I have them for you!) Jubilee & Kelci won reserve champion trophies in their divisions and Selena (pictured) won the champion trophy in her division. Also for the jackpot money race, Katie won 1st on Max, Maddy took 2nd beating Steph (3rd) on Max by just 2/100ths of a second.

Rescue Raffle Results! Thanks to everyone who participated, and congratulations to our winners, I love the names: Ariel (Chestnut), Latte (Dun) & Gandolf (Grey)

Our new paint has a name! Picasso! The winning ticket was number 462054, congratulations! Thank you so much to everybody who participated and donated. It was lots of fun, so we decided to do two more naming raffles for two of our other new "kill pen rescues".
