Back in the saddle again! The long hot summer is over and I made the two year mark with my ankle replacement so the boys are getting in shape. Feels so good to fly with Ringo again! Sara even had both of them doing small jumps Sunday. It’s so good to watch the grace and beauty of horses in motion.

Yesterday Snippet visited with his new friends at Brookdale Senior Living Community! Wow did they love him! Some of them were trying to talk him into moving in so they could love on him. What a very special day!! One tried to entice him with promises of ice cream.

We met a lady who was 103 and sharp as a tack. Several told stories about past years and their time with horses. They were so welcoming and kind to us. Most times people ask questions about Snip but yesterday they had lots of questions about Sara and our family. Fun day!

When we get to where we are visiting, Snippet has to get dressed. His vest and the very essential poo bag made by our friend, Jennifer Koselke, are first on. Then he has to wear something on his feet for traction on slick floors and cleanliness. Snip does not like his boots so Sara wraps his feet in colorful vet wrap. Most people comment on how bright his feet are!

Yesterday afternoon temps were up, barometric pressure shifted, boys played hard in the arena and my Ringo ended up with colic. Watch our bipolar weather right now, it’s colic season. Hot during day, cooler nights and barometric pressure shifts. He’s pooing again, not quite back to normal.

Yesterday, Snippet got out and about with Leslie/lil dude and Mike/Theodore at the Phoenix Police Sargents and Lieutenants Association for there Superhero Saturday fundraiser! What a great day we had today at American Groves Senior Living! Snippet met so many new friends and we got to bask in the joy and love he brings to people. So many smiles, so many stories to hear.

Snippet decided he had enough waiting around to leave for his visit today so he slipped his stall chain off and went for zoomies in the arena. His buddy Alfie was in the field next to him and joined in for the fun!

Getting Snippet ready for a visit is a process! First a bath to get those whites white, then the long process of getting him dry, the his ‘sleazy’ goes on because guess who likes to roll right after he is clean! Look at how patient Snippet is! Not all minis are cut out for the ‘glam life’ but Snippet sure is! He loves his visits!
