My name is Lisa Fabish and I have owned and operated Black Wolf Kennels, LLC since November of 2002! I was employed as a Head Veterinarian Technician for eight years before I opened BWK.....
Since I have opened, I graduated with honors as an Animal Behavior Certified Professional Dog Trainer, a Certified Mentor Trainer, Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator through the AKC, Certified Pet Care Te

chnician and I have taken several courses through FEMA to assist animals in disastrous situations. I strongly believe a person can never have enough knowledge in caring for our companion animals. We are a full professional boarding, training and breeding facility and passed our AKC inspection with excellence. Our focus is on our Newfoundland’s today and for many years to come. We have been a breeder of the "Newfoundland" aka "The Gentle Giant" for 20 years.....
We take great pride in my devotion to our breeding program.......

I have kept this boy alive since the moment he was born by tube feeding because his suckling instincts were not strong enough to survive…..
Tube feeding faithfully every 4 hours

Today he is 3 weeks old and doing well!!

This is Lisa…..

For the first time in over 30 years, I woke up this morning with no “Good Morning Howl” from all my babies….. 😔
It is completely quiet here……
Our family of Newfoundlands and Shepherds have officially been moved to our son and daughter-in-laws home at the original location of BWK in Embarrass MN…….
The set up is absolutely wonderful there and they are loving it already…. ❤️
The transition went very smoothly.

It is just so quiet here now, almost an eerie change of life for me.
I walked around our property yesterday feeling almost lost, it’s hard for me to explain the emotion….
Inside, my heart misses them so much. However, knowing Cody and Kylie are loving them this morning and receiving their morning howl, settles the pain in my heart….
I am grateful for my son and daughter…..beyond grateful for them making the decision to continue Blackwolf Newfoundland’s and the love they have for my babies and care they will give them this day forward…. ❤️

There comes a time in life when a decision has to be made, and it was time…..
My mother can not live alone anymore and it is time for me to take care of her. It is time for me to focus and care for my mom, no matter what sacrifices have to be made….. she comes first.

So to explain the situation, Cody and Kylie will be taking care of all our adult Newfs and GSD’s and their babies after they are weaned. Kerry and I will be whelping the litters and caring for them until they are weaned.
Cody and Kylie will be taking over our page as of this weekend, however Kerry and I will always be in the background, training them along the way.
I will be going there 2-3 times a week (if not more) to groom our babies and help them out during the transition.
To look at Kylie’s smile on her face, reminds me of when I first started so many years ago…. There is just something so powerful and emotional about a herd of Newfoundlands surrounding you….. it is special ❤️
So, as I walk around my property listening to complete quietness, it is bittersweet knowing my son and daughter get to experience what I have.
It is a huge change for me, yet bittersweet…. 🐾
Blackwolf Newfoundland’s will always be the same, just a younger generation of me carrying it forward….. 💕

So to Cody and Kylie…..
Enjoy every day, every bit of slobber and every morning howl….. your hearts will be full.
I love you both so very much and CONGRATS on your new adventure!
You won’t regret a single day! ❤️🐾❤️
