After a short struggle with his health, beloved family member, Diesel Hague, passed out of this realm surrounded by loved ones on January 6, 2025. At only 7 years of age, he was taken too soon.

Diesel was sought out by his family as a puppy. When they came to visit his litter, he was the only one to venture over to where they were seated. He stole their hearts and they decided to make him a family member.

Diesel’s goofy, loving nature was completely endearing to his family. He enjoyed car rides, tug of war, fetch and snuggling with his humans. The Hague family has a neighbor daughter, Kaidyn, who comes over on a regular basis; Diesel loved her and was always excited to see her. He also loved to ‘sing’ with his girls whenever they played their instruments – the whole family enjoyed and will always remember Diesel’s ‘singing’.

Diesel will be remembered by all those who knew and loved him as a dog who gave Pitbulls a good reputation. Travis, Meagan, Tayler, McKenna will always remember him fondly and hope to someday be reunited with him in the afterlife. Rest in peace Diesel.

After a long, full life with her loving family Morgan Grammer crossed the rainbow bridge on December 11, 2024.

Morgan joined her forever family as a small 6-week-old puppy in 2008. She was part of a litter that had come into the Gillette shelter. As the smallest of the group her family fell for her immediately. But in spite of being tiny, Morgan had a large personality. She was adopted to be a companion to the Grammer family’s current dog, Phoebe, but it wasn’t long before it was obvious that she was the alpha. Her ‘alpha-ness’ also shone through in her loyalty to and protectiveness of her family.

Morgan loved to go on walks and hikes. In her younger years she enjoyed swimming and playing fetch with balls and sticks too. Morgan was very intelligent and knew how to get what she wanted. She could sneak in and steal food from the trash without making a sound.

Morgan will be missed by her whole family but especially by Laney who was only eight years old when Morgan became part of the family. After spending 16 years together growing up, they were very close. Her family likes to remember the adorable way Morgan would close her eyes and lift her nose to the sky when she was sunbathing. They are also at peace knowing she is now reunited in heaven with Phoebe and her human dad, Beau. Rest in peace Morgan.

On December 5, 2024, after a long struggle against cancer, Miss Maybelline Bremer passed out of this earthly realm surrounded by her most loved humans.

Miss Maybelline came to be a member of Marge and Dwight Bremer’s family later in her life. After having been found as a stray on the streets, she had spent quite a bit of time at the local shelter when Marge came to look at the dogs. She stole Marge’s heart as soon as they met, and she came home with the Bremers that same day. Some might say that Miss Maybelline was waiting for Marge and Dwight.

Miss Maybelline was a beautiful Walker Coonhound and true to her heritage her favorite activity was sniffing! Of course, this led to her loving car rides. The smells were so exciting that she would drool on the windows. Eating also ranked high on her list of favorite ‘to-dos’. Most days she would get a ‘nilla’ cookie in the afternoon, and this was something she really looked forward to. Marge will truly miss seeing her drag her comforters off her bed, as this was the way she would tell Marge she was hungry. They had their own language.

Her sweet and loving personality shone through at the park where she would go for walks and especially ‘sniffs’. Miss Maybelline was a magnet to people. Everyone loved her and wanted to pet her long silky ears. Marge and Dwight will particularly miss these park outings. Miss Maybelline beat the odds against her aggressive cancer, hemangiosarcoma, living five years longer than mist dogs with this cancer. The Bremer family will always be thankful for the joy she brought to their lives and many others whom she met during those years.

Miss Maybelline was playful, silly, and naughty - and most of all loving. She will forever be remembered and missed by her mom, Marge; dad, Dwight; and her Catahoula sister, Bandi Lou Boudreaux. They will always keep her in their hears until they can be reunited in the afterlife with her and Bullwinkle, her German Shepard brother who passed away last year. Rest in peace Miss Maybelline.

After a full and exciting life, Chole Grace Gartzke, passed out of this realm on November 29, 2024. She will always be remembered as the best dog a family could ever ask for.

Chole Grace was found by her forever family as a small puppy. She was in a box of puppies outside of Ace Hardware. As soon as Alisha, her soon to be human Mom, saw her fluffiness and ocean blue eyes she knew that Chole was family. Her soon to be Dad, Jeff, was a little more reticent but that only lasted until Alisha had Chole in the truck. Chole was a Great Pyrenes Golden Retriever cross, and she lived her life exuding the enthusiasm and protectiveness of those two breeds. In fact, her protectiveness and affectionate nature seemed to be the essence of her being.

Chole was a great talker with a lot to say. She was also a bit of an excitement hound jumping six-foot fences, chasing rabbits, and chasing or riding 4-wheelers. She enjoyed patrolling her neighborhood and of course, a simple car ride. And even though she was the Alpha whenever puppies were around, she also adored submitting to the attention of having her nails painted and having her tail dyed.

In the way that dogs do, Chole left her family with many treasured memories. Some of their favorites include, her curly ear hair, her love of the snow, napping in the sun, and how she would always roll in the grass after a bath turning her golden white hair green. Her humans including Jeff (she always seemed to know what he was thinking), Alisha (her mom), and her human sisters, Abby, August, Addison (her girls), and her ‘skin puppies’ Elijah and Annikan (who gave the best snacks), will hold memories of her close to their hearts while they wait for the time that they can reunite with her. They will never forget her loyalty and love for them. Rest in peace Chole Grace.

Peppers Okerman crossed over the rainbow bridge on September 13, 2024. Although she was 16 years old, those who loved her felt that she was taken from them too soon.

After a couple years with Cherie, Peppers moved with Cherie’s parents and became her father, Arthur’s, Companion Animal. She stayed by his side for the rest of her life.

Aside from taking care of Arthur, Peppers also enjoyed playing with the kids and cats in her life. She also loved eating lunch with Arthur, especially if lunch included chips and/or cheeseburgers. Peppers also liked ‘talking’ with the humans in her life – she will be remembered by many for her unique way of greeting everyone with a bark.

Pepper’s family includes her human parents Arthur & Patricia; their daughters Cherie & Sarah; their husbands respectively, Mykel and Kirk; and all of their children, Alexis, Hailey, Maya, & Mason, Echo, Fabian, and Shastin; Everyone in her family will always fondly remember her wiggly little butt, and especially her exceptionally loyal and loving nature. Hyde Brincefield passed over the rainbow bridge surrounded by his loving family on Friday May 24, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. His family is comforted to know that he is now in a better place with his brothers Sheldon, Sammy, Cyrus, and Cosmo.

Hyde found his forever home as a tiny puppy. His family chose him out of his litter because of his independent nature. Hyde lived a full and loving life with the Brincefield family during his almost 9 years on this earth.

Hyde will be forever missed by Ty, Dillon, Mindy, and Jerry. Their fond memories of him will include him playing with his favorite vampire squeaky toy, his love of bologna, snuggling with him, and especially his nighttime kisses.

Rest in peace, Hyde.

Taz Wolf, faithful companion of the Wolf family, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on April 1, 2024

Taz was a darling little Maltese who was lucky enough to find her forever family as a small puppy. The Wolf family was looking for a little dog to go with their little kids and found out about Taz’s litter in the newspaper. When they brought her home, they knew Taz was a perfect fit.

Taz was a little ray of sunshine, always having a positive attitude. As a young dog she loved to chase the ball and play with her friend, BG. She was easily trained and knew many commands such as sit, spin, beg, lay down, roll over, and shake. She also knew how to be the trainer. Whenever she wanted to be lifted up on the bed, she would do a little ‘Grrr’ to get her masters to obey.

Taz will be remembered by many especially, her owner Sari and Sari’s daughters, Natasha, Deva, Trinity, and Katy. They will always remember Taz’s signature greeting of spinning in circles and then running away. Her pet siblings Chewy, Kovu, Yeti, and Shadow already miss her, and of course her human grandparents and loving dog sitters, Lyle and Judy, will always fondly remember her. Rest in peace Taz

Dozer Dog Mason, beloved companion of Cynthia Mason, passed out of this realm March 9, 2024. Over the course of his nineteen years, he led a full and loving life embodying everything wonderful about the canine species.

Cynthia discovered Dozer at the shelter in Buffalo, Wyoming. He was a tiny puppy when his litter was found on a backroad in a plastic bag and taken to the shelter. Dozer was the one puppy that walked up to Cynthia and kissed her on the face while the rest of his siblings hid under a blanket. From that point on Dozer and Cynthia were basically inseparable.

Dozer’s intelligence and gentle demeanor made him the perfect candidate to become Cynthia’s service dog, which he did for the first 15 years of his life. They literally went everywhere together, even after he retired. They traveled many miles to many states and Dozer loved it all. Riding in the truck, beach walks, and playing fetch on those trips were some of his favorite things to do.

When Dozer Dog was young, he won Pedigree Dog Awards. He was a really positive dog who always made people happy just by being himself. He would bunny hop when he played with his toys, get the late-night zoomies, and had perfected his cute faces for the girls at ‘The Wyoming Coffee House’, charming people and spreading joy.

Dozer Dog loved so many people and he would want to recognize their effect on his life: Dozer’s beloved Aunt Anna for all her loves and scratches; his Grandpa Alden for always getting sucked in to giving him treats; the girls at the Wyoming Coffee House for making him puppicinos and always treating him with kindness; his best friend, Josh, for his love and for being his partner in late night zoomies, and for the love and kindness from all his past friends.

Dozer was especially touched by Cynthia, as she was by him. She credits him with helping raise her children, Tuff & Rycker. She will always remember her Dozer Dog for his faithful service to and love of her and the almost twenty years of love and happiness that he brought her family. She will always love him and knows in her heart that they will meet again. Rest in peace, Dozer Dog.

Tipsy Gleason, beloved companion of the Gleason family and best friend of Tucker, left this earth February 9, 2024. Even though he lived a shorter life of only about 5 years, it was a great one full of love and happiness.

Tipsy’s forever family found him being given away with his siblings in front of Wal-Mart. Stephanie picked him up and brought him to her mom, Deb. As soon as Deb held him, he tipped backwards, earning his name Tipsy in that moment. His family adored his darling little bear-like appearance and came to love his delightful personality.

Tipsy’s number one favorite activity was eating (he was excellent at begging for treats.) But he also liked car rides, daily walks at the park, and playing with toys. Spending time with family on the couch and having his ears scratched was right up there with eating as far his favorite ways to spend time.

Like his brother Tucker, Tipsy also like to talk- although his conversations often centered on getting Deb to throw his ball. If she didn’t listen, he wasn’t afraid to give her a little scratch on the leg. He was never afraid to get a bossy if he felt he needed to.

Tipsy was loved by anyone who met him. His family members Deb, Stephanie, Chris, Rudy, Raina, Remi will always fondly remember their little Tipsy bear. They hope that he and his best friend Tucker are having a wonderful time together in the afterlife. Rest in peace Tipsy.

After 12 full and wonderful years, Tucker Gleason passed over the rainbow bridge with is best friend Tipsy on February 9, 2024.

Tucker came to his forever family all the way from a poodle store in Las Vegas. When Deborah picked him up, he immediately tucked up under her neck and stayed there, thus making naming him Tucker a no-brainer, as well as making Deborah fall in love with him immediately.

Tucker enjoyed a wide variety of activities including playing, walks, eating and uniquely, airplane trips. But he really loved being next to his people. Whether it is was next to, on the lap of, or under the neck of someone he loved, he was happy; especially if he could get a belly rub too. Of the few things Tucker hated one was haircuts. Another was car rides.

Tucker was very intuitive and knew how to take care of those around him. He always let Deb know if a family member was almost home and he made sure she knew if Tipsy needed to go outside. He was a great talker and would ‘converse’ with Deb regularly.

His family members, Stephanie, Chris, and Deb will always fondly remember his loving nature. They like to think he and Tipsy are on the other side playing and waiting for the rest of them. Rest in peace, Tucker

Nitrous (Nitro) Bond, loving companion of the Bond Family, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones March 1, 2024.

Nitro, who was also affectionately called Nugget, found his forever family when he was wandering around lost on the side of the road in Riverton, Wyoming on February 15, 2019. After an extensive search, no other family was located. So, Abby and Isaac, who were in a new relationship, adopted him and brought him home. The three of them became a family together.

Nitro had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed many activities. He loved to play; whether he was in the front yard with the kids, in the snow, or just engaging in a plain old game of fetch at Camplex, Nitro was happy. He also liked car rides, chewing on bones, butt scratches, cuddling in bed, laying around in the sun, and being with his canine sister, Athena.

Nitro came to the Bonds about a year after Abby had lost her former dog and Abby just knew he was meant to be with her. As mentioned above, he was part of every step of Abby and Isaac’s relationship. He was there for their graduations, their engagement, their wedding, the arrival of their children, and their move to Gillette. Their memories of him at all these milestones will keep him forever in their hearts.

They will also miss so many of his endearing characteristics; Nitro had a ‘crazy lazy eye’ and when anyone would scratch his butt his legs would work like he was walking. He also liked to have a little conversation by ‘talking’ when he was being taken out to go potty. And they will especially miss how he would never leave his people’s sides.

Nitro’s beloved humans Abby, Isaac, Elijah, and Anakin, and his canine siblings, Athena and Hades, will forever remember Nitro’s loving and loyal personality. His song was Sunflower by Post Malone. Whenever they hear it, they will remember the joy that Nitro brought into their lives. Rest in peace, Nitro.

Zed Keeler, loving companion and revered conversationalist of the Keeler Family, passed away February 9, 2024, after a courageous battle with liver cancer.

Born September 9, 2009, Zed Keeler, found his forever family later in life. He was adopted from the City of Gillette Shelter by Sara Keeler and her sons Joseph and Gabriel. They brought him into the family to be a companion to their current dog, Terry. Zed immediately filled that role by bonding quickly with Terry.

Zed enjoyed going for walks, playing tug-of-war, and cuddling with his humans and with Terry. And he especially loved talking- he made sure everyone knew when he was in the room.

Zed will be remembered by many. When he wagged his tail, his whole body moved. And he could exhibit some crazy antics when he got excited. Between his talking, his racing around, and his full body wiggles, he entertained Dr. Lucas and the Animal Medical Center staff more than a few times.

His family- Sara; Joseph; Gabriel, Terry; and his feline siblings, Harley, Little Girl, and Peppers -will greatly miss him greeting them at the door. And they will always fondly remember their many wonderful conversations with him. They hope he is reunited with Gabby, his feline brother, in the afterworld. Rest in peace, Zed

After a loving and full life, Tinker Groth, crossed over the rainbow bridge on January 9, 2024. He spent all of his 17 years on earth caring for his family members.

Tinker came to the Groth family as a kitten. He was born feral and came to his forever home with his littermate, Tanker. They immediately bonded with an older male cat, Pistolie, who was in the home. They spent a lot of time with Pistolie and his role modeling made an impression on Tinker, who became the caretaker of the family when Pistolie passed away.

Tinker’s laid-back, mellow personality added to his propensity for being the ‘Dad’ cat. The other family cats loved to be cuddled by him and selflessly, he always made sure not to eat until the other 4 cats had their fill. He also bonded with all of the Groth’s Belgian Shepherd dogs.

Pamela and the rest of his family will always fondly remember his sweet demeanor and quiet presence. His brother, Tanker, has taken over Tinker’s favorite chair in front of the kitchen window. Rest in peace, Tinker.

After a long and wonderful life, Shadow D***s, also known as ‘Mean Baby’ and later in her life ‘Grumpy Gus’, passed away peacefully in the company of her beloved humans, Dennis and Kay on January 24, 2024.

Shadow spent the entirety of her18 years with Dennis and Kay beginning with her rescue as a kitten. She had fallen between a wooden stall and the outside wall of the barn. After hearing her meow for three days, Dennis slipped an air hose down into the space. Shadow crawled up the hose and right into his heart. She was so tiny that she fit right into his front shirt pocket.

Shadow liked to do most of the typical cat things like rubbing on Kay and Dennis’ legs to get attention; purring – which she excelled at; and giving someone an occasional nip. And she also greatly enjoyed harassing her canine siblings, Ginger Dog, Daisy, Dukedogs, Fitzy, and Radar.

Shadow had a gift for comforting. If she knew one of her people was sick or sad, she would come lay next to them and do her excellent purring. As long as the person didn’t pet her much, she would stay and occasionally rub her head on them.

Her great purring, specific tolerances for being petted -three times only!, and spicy personality will forever be fondly remembered by her Mom, Kay, and Dad, Dennis; her Aunt Shannon; her Dog Toughy; Cat Squeaker; Sammy, her most recent cat friend; and her best dog friend Zena. Rest in peace Shadow.
