After a little over a year in business and our 2nd Thanksgiving we have already doubled our guests and almost filled the kennel to its breaking point. The dogs had a great weekend and the employees stayed really busy!

🚨 Knight Needs Your Help! 🚨

Meet Knight, a three-year-old, neutered male Labrador Retriever mix who was surrendered to our shelter on 10/18/2024. This friendly and outgoing guy has lots of energy and would make an awesome hiking or adventure buddy!

Knight gets along well with most dogs, cats, and children (though he might accidentally knock the little ones over in his excitement). He’s housetrained and kennel trained, and he LOVES going on walks with our volunteer dog walkers.

Unfortunately, Knight is having a really hard time adjusting to the shelter environment, and he’s becoming stressed and anxious in his kennel. We’re urgently looking for a permanent home OR a temporary foster to help give Knight a break from the shelter and the love he deserves.

If you’re looking for an energetic, loyal companion and can offer Knight a safe space, please reach out! Let’s help this sweet boy find his way to a loving home.

Elby, Princess Buttercup and Chewy playing tug-of-war. Chewy, a lover not a fighter, lets them have the rope and then goes and gets it again. Pablo is more interested in the ball and playing alone than some ole dumb rope 😝!

And the tug-of-war is on! It is a beautiful day and the dogs are loving being outside! Rider is a Great Dane mix and one of the sweetest dogs you will ever meet and Chewy is a Golden Retriever and he is one of the kindest and sweetest dogs. Buttercup,our mascot, is more interested in Lily, the videographer and employee, than she is the game. Poor Grizzly he is getting too old and grew up with a non-playing dog, he struggles with getting involved but loves to cheer on his buddies.

It was a great weekend at the kennel. Boone, a new puppy, staying with us wanted to see what was up with the camera. Isn't he beautiful, he reminds me of my Grizzly. And Walter and Annie got bathed together, Baylee did a great job!! We had a lot of dogs but can't post all the photos, well maybe over time.

The smoke is rolling in and for the safety of the fur-babies we are keeping them inside this morning. We are praying for a good rain to wash the smoke out of the air and also praying they get this fire under control. Again, if you need to evacuate and need a place for your pups to stay for a couple of days give us a call. 307-696-7913.
