Meekah and Merle haven't seen each other since they both went to their furever homes but we were able to do a reunion today when they both came in for their first puppy visits!! There was definitely excitement all around to see these two cuties playing together again.

Red Hills would like to introduce our new Doctor, Dr. Wilson!🎉🩺🐾

Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Manitoba, Canada.
Following high school, she attended a local veterinary technology program and worked as a Registered Veterinary Technologist for a few years before deciding to pursue veterinary school. Dr Wilson graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2018 and practiced back in Manitoba prior to moving to Wyoming. Some of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, ultrasonography and equine medicine.
In her spare time, Dr Wilson loves beekeeping and horseback riding, recently getting into the sport of cutting.
She looks forward to settling into life in Gillette with her husband Joe, their 2 dogs, 2 horses and multiple cats.

We are excited to have Dr. Wilson apart of our team!❤️🖤

🌟Obtaining Blood, F***l, and other samples to process in our on site lab
🌟Assisting in outpatient exams by taking vitals, weights, and histories
🌟After thorough training preparing patients for surgery and monitoring vital signs of the patient while in surgery.
🌟Providing basic animal handling and restraint
🌟Assisting in taking radiographs and administering medications, vaccines or treatments as needed
🌟Cleaning of exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and surgery areas, including restocking supplies and maintaining AAHA standards

🐾Technician Hannah and Bodhi have a special bond. Everyone loves to see Bodhi when he comes in! Today he was in for some vaccines!

🐾Bodhi is 15 months old now and look how big he has grown!!

🌟A few Fun facts about Maine C**ns is that they have a naturally slow growth rate and do not reach their full size until they are about 3-5 years old. They are also waterproof!! They have a waterproof topcoat that protects them against wet and bleak climates.

🍎Did you know Red Hills takes on 1-2 kiddos from the high schools that are part of the mentorship program/class?

🍎Every year we get lots of kiddos 'applying' to be mentored by our wonderful doctors.

🍎All the kiddos applying are interested in entering the world of veterinary medicine after high school and are seeing if this is the right fit for them and we are happy to help them on that journey.

🍎Our wonderful doctors and technicians take on our mentee for an hour each day and teach them and show them a day in the life.

🍎We are so happy to be apart of our communities youth programs and hope each mentee falls in love with veterinary medicine just like we have.

🍎Just like how the world needs more cowboys... The world needs more vets too and we are happy to help guide our youth in chasing down their vet med passions 🤍

Dogs become most at risk of developing arthritis at around 8 years old. Canine osteoarthritis is the most common but they can also develop inflammatory joint disease.
